I believe he's coming in primarily as a full back but it certainly will make Wright raise an eyebrow.

Will they soon be queuing up to offer us their younger prospects who are not first team ready but good enough for league 1
A bit like us with Diamond and Embleton.
Both returned better players.
Man City will be hoping we do a Sanderson on Doyle and West Ham will hope for an improved Alves.
Perhaps we should let Hawkes and possibly Younger go out on loan to get regular first team experience.
There’s a few more that would benefit playing for the likes of Hartlepool or Harrogate.
Neil is good enough for our first team now as is Diamond.

Our back 4 of league one plodders and free agents have failed for 3 year now. I’m more than happy with a new approach. I’d love to keep Wright however incase things do go tits up, get a natural leader amongst it.
Been reported Wright too expensive for Wigan now after they signed Jones.
I’d like to keep him personally. Seems a good bloke to have around the club and a solid back up.
Think he'll stay until at least January then we can assess Arby's fitness
