Correct and it's obvious that Sunderland are no longer interested in 'getting bodies in' especially when they often turned out to be corpses.

It takes more courage to hold your nerve and wait for the right players than sign anyone who's available and guaranteed to come.

KLD is building something that we haven't had for decades, tbh I'm bored with people demanding he just repeats the mistakes of the past.

Absolutely m8.

Personally, I am enjoying watching the club stick to its guns and only sign quality. Whilst it is entirely true our squad is light I would much rather retain a light and youthful squad with the short term aim of developing the nucleus of the team than lump in league 1 standard player who are at the to of their achievement status in this league and dilute the standard. The doommolngers are winding me up - I still believe that we will get only 2-3 of our targets in by deadline day but that the wait will be worth it

Exactly, the win has given us a slight repreave from their repetitive moaning, but they'll never dampen my excitement and happiness in being here while the club is about to take off. Hhaaawwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyyy the Lad's

If we haven’t signed quality by the end of the month then fair enough but I’d much rather us take our time and not panic like we normally do.
We can do both. You don't need to wait til end of window to sign good players. The amount of players we need means they are giving themselves an awful lot to do in a short period of time. Given how long it's taken to get what we've got its unclear if they can get the job done.

You said quality players have moved, but we haven’t got them…. then you named two we have. So your posts are not all about full backs…. most of your comments are bitching about lack of signings across the squad.
We are weak up front as well as at the back but I'd concentrate on back 4 as we've at least got 1 striker. We've got 1 starting defender imo.

Opinion and from past experiences.. He will be gone before deadline day for a pittance, you can see it when he's warming up from the effort he puts in.
Aob as grigg the same as Wright imo. May be deadline day before they go and poss on subsidised wages as they on so much for l1

Talking of cover at the back, any updates on Arby and when he will be fit?

I know we have not seen a lot of him, but his reputation and what we did see pre injury was very promising.

We have 3 strikers and 5 defenders (if you include Younger as part of the 1st team)
We play 1 up front but Stewart I'd the only on up to it. Likewise we've probably only Doyle at the back. Flannagan is accident waiting to happen imo as has been proven in the past. Wrights away. Younger can't get in ahead of 2 midfielders and the rest are injured. Other than that were in great shape though..... I feel if we can get the defence and a competent back up striker with pace we can win this league.

Whether you like it or not, Flanagan, Wright, Younger and Xhemajli are part of the first team and can't be ignored when assessing the squad. Flanagan is clearly 1st choice alongside Doyle. If Wright goes, he will be replaced.

You say Stewart is the "only one up to it" but Grigg and O'Brien are alternative options and the way we play doesn't need a lump like Wyke winning (losing) headers - Grigg and/or O'Brien might well have shown the same movement as Stewart for the penalty although I'd concede neither would have scored the goal Stewart did

You do if their current clubs aren't prepared to let them go yet.

Have any of our competitors signed fullbacks that you wish we'd signed?

Tend to agree we need recruits mate, but you cant comment that we haven't signed anyone and then use the phrase "Wright is away" to enforce your point, neither of those have happened yet
