Feels like Nixon's showing his true colours now, seems to be a tad over keen to stick the knife in. Think people are right that he isn't getting insider info these days and it's pissing him off.
Been having a bit of a browse this afternoon and
Think that might apply to a lot of the press and a few of the so called ITK posters on RTG
Its pretty obvious there is very little being leaked by the new regime.
Some people obviously aren't getting the info they used to and one or two seem to be stirring up negative ****e.

Absolutely could have done with a few more signings by now
but I think we are just going to have to sit tight and see how it looks when the window closes

I think you're spot on mate.

It's about time the club acted professionally but, now they are, people don't like it ...

... I no longer ask for info but, under Donald there was little respect so people blabbed. I get virtually nothing now.

You're right. The club for once are acting professionally
Unfortunately in this age of instant gratification some people are not happy
Looks like one or two now completely out of the loop and trying to claim there is unrest behind the scenes
Hopefully they will be made to look very silly when we bring in 4 or 5 solid signings before the window shuts

All I would say to that is the club already appears to have a massive amount of debt (think it’s been quoted to loose £8-10 million this year) so you can’t keep adding to that endlessly
Being in League One is a reflection of how the club has been ran an tret over the last few years
Yep and its on the new owner to rectify that. As has been said a few times on here, we'll need to see where we are at the end of the window. We'll be able to see what the planned level of investment is for this year when we see the 4-6 new players that have been touted. Any business plan to get us out of this league would have to involve additional spending with the plan to earn it back later. If the plan truly is to be sustainable at the league one level and then build a team over the next few years to go up eventually could end up costing us more in the long run.

Unless you bounce straight back with a Championship team
Getting out of League one is a real balancing act.
Throwing money at it will invariably attract older player out for a pay day. Might work but is it sustainable
Don't want to come straight back down again like Charlton.
Ideal way is to build a sustainable model with young hungry players but as you say it could take years and my not come off in the end.
Need a balance of experience and quality younger players that can step up in the championship.
To be honest I don't envy our recruitment team and can see why things are dragging
Operating in a transfer window only really got one shot at getting it right

Charlton probably would have stayed up if theyd have kept the team that got promoted. Aribo amongst others had to leave due to financial problems which then resulted in Bowyer leaving aswell.
Peterborough signed Szmodics and Clarke-Harris for around 1.5m each and they are not aging players looking for a payday. The 2 of them with Beevers at the back was one of the main reasons they went up.

Reactions: sheepman and Nads
could turn toxic quickly if we start the season bad and that be last thing players owner and manager needs

KLD's first game with fans at the SoL. He's probably feeling a bit stressed and frankly **** about how behind we are with transfers. He needs to see us at our best. Can understand people booing, I just hope it doesnt happen and it will be a massive shame if it does.

I think tonight could be the night he finds out how fanatical Sunderland fans are and what it could be like in the premiership.
