Suppose it’s not too dissimilar to how they get info on potential transfers. I just think this managerial hunt is being blown up due to who they’ll be replacing.
there’s also the fact that we’ve made complete fools of ourselves and the press are excited by the next dumb decision we might make. For a neutral, it’s comedy gold.
It's only a matter of time but I don't think it will be UEFA that implement it. One of the big driving factors behind it is that the big clubs don't see why UEFA should take such a big cut when they could organise it themselves.

Have you seen the new cuff links and tie pin set...? please log in to view this image ...****ing tie pin? Yes, I'm well oiled.
After the suggested Gattusso debacle, is Levy....sorry, Paratici....waiting for a suggestion that doesn't incite a potential riot amongst fan groups? Given where we've fallen to , at this point, nothing's completely out of the question. Just appoint Potter, sell Kane and get the **** on with it...
Absolutely. If ENIC think that there are problems in selling the club now, if they obtain an NFL franchise, the pain will multiply exponentially. The ownership of those franchises is the ultimate closed shop and they pick who buys one. Even if the stadium becomes just a host to a franchise, it's revocable at the whim of the NFL and at pretty short notice. We're supping with the devil here.
Can you imagine the sale negotiation ? Levy........we have a NFL franchise Buyer........very nice, are you taking it with you? Levy.......The stadium alone cost £1bl Buyer......very nice but there are other stadiums that hold more paying public and as a building (nice as it is) is worth no more than the land it stands on to anyone but a football club (NFL franchise excepted). Levy.......£2bl all in? Buyer...What do you want for the football club because that's all we want to buy.
The club is an investment rather than a vanity project. ENIC value it at £1.5 billion (taking into account the clubs debt). When you add in the long term loans, that currently amount to £900,000,000 and the asking price would be £2.4 billion. Honestly, I cannot see who would buy it at anything like that. It's over the ceiling for a football club. There's much better value out there than THFC, especially if the club's not in the CL regularly or some form of ESL. The club's lost its identity and direction.
They would also be buying an excellent venue for a wide variety of events that would not affect the football in anyway in any way.
We're a disparate bunch...but there's a number with a few quid, certainly...but we're more your cravat and smoking jacket set Not my brother-in-law, who still owes me for the reunion ticket I bought for him 8 months ago.
I would say exactly the same thing about your claim that staff at our and other clubs with roles equivalent to King, Hitchen or Mason possess more insight into recruitment and talent spotting simply by dint of the fact that they spend a lot of time doing it. Where is evidence for that? I've worked with plenty of mid-level colleagues who keep their head down, tick all the boxes and spend a lifetime failing to develop one iota of real expertise in the area they spend 8 hours a day focusing on. Their knowledge and experience may be encyclopaedic but they have no idea how to apply it effectively or incorporate it into a bigger vision. I agree that Barca under Pep was a bad example due to the crop of players who came through their academy at the same time. But his work at City shows that he has the tactical nous to adapt to a different league and the skill sets of different players (especially impressive since losing talismen like Aguero, Kompany and Silva who were his equivalent of David Villa, Puyol and Iniesta) and still compete for and win major trophies. Does it help that he has an open cheque book? Of course it does. But the overwhelming majority of purchases made during his tenure there have been successful. This is in stark contrast to the hit and miss recruitment of previous City managers. That said, I make him one of the best tacticians in the modern game. And evidence certainly suggests that Tuchel may be even better. I disagree with your take on Poch's biggest problem. For a period (2016-2018), there just weren't 5 teams better than us. Richer than us, yes, but not better. In 2016, we were better than Leicester and QED everyone else. In 2017 only Chelsea were better than us. In 2018 only City were better than us but playing at Wembley caused us to finish 3rd. Poch's biggest problem was tactical and boiled down to two areas: Getting big decisions in big games wrong (Son at lwb, Vorm in goal, dropping Lucas, playing a ridiculously aggressive game at stamford bridge etc.). And secondly, his inability to get more out of squad players, instead relying far too heavily on a core of 14 outfield players and running them into the ditch every year.
