Only got to 25 seconds and pissed off already, he should have started with how disappointing it was that the fans couldn't be there to see Hull City become champions for the first time in 55 years not how happy he was to finish 5 place above the player wage / place calculation.
He was happy cos we achieved a placing 5 places above our financial outlay ranking He has invested heavily in the youth of the club We won't be spending much in the transfer market but will look to bring in 6 or 7 Burke and Long were released cos they were too dear to keep Got loads of interested parties in the club more so then before due to being promoted but same old same old.. they need to show him the money. Just the usual bullsh1t and bollox he pukes out Oh and we are refurbing the stadium due to nowt being spent on it .. that amounts to putting some grass seed down and growing grass !
Nothing in that offends me. Nothing in that inspires me. Just the same old. At least hes come out and said something in the full knowledge that whatever he says will be nitpicked by some in order to slag him off.
Finishing above our player wage / place calculation is the most important target. The starting 11 are all under contract and will be the core for next season. Hoping to add to the squad young hungry players who can have value added to them, making money from player sales. It was good to hear everything the players and coach said during the game. Maintenance to the stadium will have to be done to welcome back fans, to that end a new pitch has been laid? There is always interest in selling more now in the championship, waiting as always for an acceptable offer.
You missed the bit about a mid table budget which hopefully we can continue to over-achieve on and give us the chance of top 6. Which was the only new info coming from the interview.
Clarified why we didn't keep Burke and Long Oh and that we finished 5 places about our financial outlay prediction ! All about the money
As is everything. Getting value for outlay is a measure of success. Wasting money on overpaid hype and ending up in difficulty is a measure of failure. Ask the likes of Derby, Sunderland and Sheff Wed.
I'll maybe watch later as I'm a busy man and 12 minutes can't be fitted into my current schedule - when factoring in higher priorities such as scratching my arse and contemplating my navel. All mammals which are sustained by a placenta have a navel. Innies. Outies. Pierced. Unadulterated. If I wear cheap T-shirts mine gets filled with coloured fluff. What's that about? Anyway. **** off with an analysis of finishing higher than a player/wage calculation would suggest. That's the words of a souless **** not a football person.
Basically that we finished 5 places above where last years budget suggested we would and if we do the same next year with a mid table championship budget we can maybe hope for top 6. Which is reassuring that we're not bottom 4 budget hoping for survival.
