Sky are running with the story of us moving for Joachim Andersen and reckon he’ll cost £20m. Also there’s yet even more reports of Aurier going back to PSG. Some more or less saying PSG and Aurier have an agreement, it’s just sorting the fee with us, which I’d like to think won’t be too much of an issue...
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Villarreal are leading the pack to sign him I'd be reasonably okay with that if it meant Foyth came back, as when he's got a run in Villarreal's team he's shown he can be an asset, plus having someone who can play RB, CB and DM would be useful
Oh no, it's that time of year where radar diagrams get trotted out, this time with added epilepsy warnings please log in to view this image please log in to view this image What in the name of **** are we supposed to getting from these?
According to Skybet. I mean Sky. £300m and no sale to another Premier League club. No? Didn't think so.
I don't particularly care, to be honest. Nobody outside of England is paying what we'd want for him and we should simply refuse to sell him to another English side. I don't think that Sky have any insight into the situation.
Do you not think if he wants to leave and asks to leave that the club are almost powerless to make him stay?
I think it’s worth reiterating again that what Kane wants this summer is only part of the equation when it comes to his future. Spurs hold all the cards as he has a long time left on his contract and although we’ve got debt to manage, we’re not in a position where the club needs to sell him to stay afloat. The only situation where he leaves is if he throws his toys out of the pram and I’m maybe 90% certain that won’t happen unless Levy seriously mishandles the situation and there’s some sort of serious internal fallout.
I wish I could say I was surprised but I’ve expected it most of the season once it became obvious we were going nowhere. There’s zero reason for Kane to want to stay at Spurs. I’ve also said how this summer will be huge for Levy... It’s just got a whole lot bigger.
Why not? Sheringham, Carrick, Berbatov, Keane, Bale and Modric all left. Why wouldn’t the Kane story end the same way?
Because Kane's on a long contract and we're not in the same position that we were with those players. Everyone's finances are screwed right now, so virtually nobody will be able to bid anything near what Levy would consider. Who can afford him? PSG, Chelsea and City, maybe? We won't consider one of them, Kane won't consider another and the last won't do it. City would rather take that money and throw it at Mbappe or Haaland, because of his age.
