Another tough looking card at Punchy today. My darts through the card. Be happy with a couple of winners! Golf Martin Jungle Junction/ Raya Time Some Neck Flooring Porter Max Flamingo/ Botani Energumene Magic Daze Grand Jury
I’ve backed Strawberri in the 8:15 at 7/2 and shorter, looking back on her debut it was a very good run in behind some useful, more experienced sorts! Step up in trip should be fine too
Liking the look of Five Helmets in the first, but hoping that Youngnedofthehill can run to his best @ 33's and Golden Spear rolls back the years @ 50's... I'm going to guess Golden Spear will be useless and Tony Martin will have it drop another few lbs before bolting up at the Galway festival in the summer... But like flat breds in a bumper, I'm a sucker for Tony Martin too... I meant Whatsinthecorner ahead of Youngnedofthehill... He was just my other horse I was thinking about
Looked like he might go close coming round the final bend but tired badly - put him away for the summer and perhaps look at his wind? One I'll be watching next season, maybe over 2m 4f.
Considering a bit of a rant mate. The JP "money horse" runs out the winner. I backed Entoucas and three out the jockey seemed to me to take a mighty pull on him. You almost have to wait in these races and see which one they want......
Very much agree - although Sully D'Oc ran a blinder at Aintree and fair play to him for coming out and winning that 3 weeks later. At least JP doesn't wrap his horses in cotton wool (well, unless they are at Seven Barrows )
Two English winners over here... What a disgrace. I hope there's an investigation into the state of Irish racing after this embarrassing display!
Just when I was laughing at Codd taking the wrong course mine slips up on the flat! These banks races have been a disaster this week!
Hey guys, a quick one for you, if you will...my older sister bets only ever at the few days of Punchestown, all her life, don't ask why, but she has always liked backing during the week of it and that is about the extent of her betting during the year. With the closure of high street shops, she decided to open an online account. Anyway, to cut a long story short, she opened an account with Mr. Play (never heard of them) and deposited 150 euro. After 3 bets on the first day, she had accumulated up to 384 euro and had decided to withdraw 234 euro and leave the original 150 for the remainder of the week. She tried to withdraw but couldn't, after contacting them they said she signed up for the bonus in the casino which gave her a matching 150 euro, now here's the catch. She said to withdraw they told her over 5000 euro had to be bet or turnover on the slots at the site for her to be able to withdraw any winnings. I looked on her phone and there is a requirement for this bonus that states she must bet the 150 bonus 35x. She was genuinely unaware of this offer and doesn't bet on any casino games or the like so she is a bit upset. She then said she contacted the live chat again and after a lengthy conversation with a person not speaking much fluent English, she agreed to be refunded her initial deposit and in lieu give up her 234 euro winnings. They then disabled her account and she has sent numerous mails to them outlining that she was happy to have her initial deposit back and for them to keep her other winnings, she has been clear and concise and they have replied once each day and with hardly any Information or progress being made on the matter barring a bot like response of what was in her account and then again to state that the matter has been forwarded to the account manager. It was the account manager that sent the latest mail just stating what was in her account. It is like they are blissfully ignoring her and making the situation a lot more difficult than it should be. Anyway, I am not too sure about what she can do now and was wondering if you guys had any advice to pass on, or what course of action she could take regarding the matter? I had never heard of the betting site prior to this coming up, which was a worry, as I have accounts with a few of the main sites myself like 365, Betfair etc and the fact I had not heard of this one was an alarm bell to me to begin with.
Oddy, I had a big each way ante-post bet at 20/1 on Ronald Pump at Cheltenham, but he got injured. I don’t believe in chasing losses at a different track. He’s too big at 13/2 and the favourite is drifting. I fear an upset here. Where’s all the money coming from for Klassical Dream?
He was well fancied after that 2nd to Honeysuckle wasn't he? Very interesting runner in what is actually a really good race.
True that but jeez the way Patrick was motionless on him round the final bend. He had 2 stones in had. I wonder whether he'll go chasing or stay over hurdles? Personally I'd keep him over hurdles and target the big staying hurdle races.
STH, I’ve just tried to negotiate round their website. What a joke! I sympathise completely with your sister, but when a website like that makes it impossible to read their terms and conditions....well, tell her to just put it down to experience and beware scam companies like that.
