That RR for us keeps on creeping up. And from here, it will begin to shoot up.

 

I think you have to credit the good tail end batting. Saved the game for them.

 

Frustrating but Hants couldn't have done much more on this last day. Great game to watch though,

Currie coming in for Crane certainly suggests this isn't a usual Oval pitch though. Ordinarily, two spinners is almost a must.

Vince did suggest last week that with Surrey's poor start, he wouldn't be surprised if they left some grass on the wicket this week.

 

Somerset do the same at Taunton.

True, but I still think it's a risky call to bowl first. To justify the decision they need 3 wickets by lunch minimum. I wonder what Vince would have done.
