He’s a top lad but I think at the moment it’s a match made in heaven for him and the club, he loves being the focal point of the team and we give him the freedom to pretty much do whatever he wants, not sure top clubs would give him that freedom and it might stifle his progress. I think if he was to go PSG would be all over him, he’s there type of player, imagine himself and Mbappe together....................................................…………at Newcastle perhaps
It's started and it's not just the big clubs. Every ****er wants him. This guy thinks Ashley doesn't know he can make a fortune on this player... Ashley and nufc know fine well they've got a future star on their hands. Let's just accept it though its going to be his last season at nufc of a champions league side comes in and they will.
Due to our finances? What the ones where we are one of the most stable clubs in the PL? Oh right.... I'd stick £10m on top of any asking price just because it's Villa.
Not arsed if he stays or goes if I'm honest. Every player is replaceable and as good as he is (and I think he is really good), he's just too lightweight for this league in my opinion. He's becoming a target man in the same way that Grealish and Zaha are but he's just not built for this league unfortunately. He goes down far too easily and stays down way longer than he should in my opinion. Whether that's just to try and influence referee's or what I don't know but it's baffling. He bottles a lot of 50/50's which I can kinda understand, especially at the minute as he is still in theory working his way back to full fitness after missing a good few games (again). He was virtually anonymous for 35 mins in the 2nd half on Saturday and I was surprised he stayed on as long as he did but I'm pleased he did as he was instrumental in our pushing late in the game, setting up Wilson for his goal. His skill is just ridiculous, his potential is limitless but he needs some seriously good coaching to develop that, Steve Bruce isn't the man for that. I will wish him well when he goes and we should be able to demand a rather handsome fee for him, Ashley will be looking for a 300%-400% ROI I would say at least. How the **** Joelinton cost twice as much as him is beyond me like !
So we've extended his contract by a year....WOW !! ****ing great to see how some of the clowns at our club earn their corn like !
