In football these days, that was a nailed on red. No question for me. (Doesn't mean I don't have sympathy for him though. Because there was clearly no intent.)
Nah; easily the worst decision I’ve seen this season. Way worse than any of the ones that went against us. Balbuena literally couldn’t do anything else with his foot. Should’ve been a yellow for Chilwell if anything for being late on the block
Another useless referee advised by the useless.. It's not var it's the intepretation by idiots.. The game is up for these jokers...
I'm not sure what you're watching but his follow through caught him high up on the leg. These days that's a red card all day long.
What's he supposed to do ffs? Not clear the ball? "From now on lads, you mustn't ever follow through when clearing the ball. Just in case" Yet another example of a referee having never played the game not having a ****ing clue. Shambles.
Moyes saying decision made by someone who never played the game and doesn’t understand it. Sounds about right
Well no because that was just a glancing blow as he kicked the ball. Balbuena planted his studs into Chilwell's upper leg in his follow through.
It's literally exactly the same. Cleared the ball and caught the opposition on the follow through. Happens half a dozen times each match.
Just watched it, and I’m afraid you’re completely wrong there. When you kick a football, especially a clearance, you have no option but to follow through. If someone puts their leg in the way of your foot that’s unfortunate. Referees clearly know nothing about how football is actually played.
The football world is universally agreed that no way is that a red card .. yet Tom still defends it to the death
