He is the epitome of Englishness and he was born and died on England's National Day. You think it is just a coincidence?
Mind his sister had that tune out in the 90s that was at number 1 for about 6 months? I don’t cause I was only 2 years old
Been there and done that. You end up leaving it out because once you lift the rotary dryer out you then have to stick it somewhere when not in use so it just gets left in place all the time hence defeating the object. Our line is down towards the imaginary man-cave so is out of the way, it may look a bit chavvy leaving the washing line up but the neighbours can go f.uck themselves if they don't like it. I have to put up with their sh.it so they can deal with mine. Trying to convince Mrs Grove to deck the end of the garden as it is a waterlogged mess (the garden, not Mrs Grove) during winter. I'd have to go for the resin decking and posts because even treated timber would soon rot in all that water. Looking at a couple of grand just in materials so this may have to wait a while.
You suffer a spoiled view of your garden due to being too lazy to put the rotary line in the shed when not in use. You disgust me.
With my gardening skills and enthusiasm anything that obscures the view is advantageous. With miles of relatively unspoilt Suffolk coast ten minutes away a garden is an irrelevance.
this song only got to number 17 and the singer's name was Arnold Shakespeare which has 17 letters in it and the backing singers were both 17 and the DJ introducing them on Top of the Pops was Jimmy Savile who liked to f.uck 17 year olds* Spooky *me too
My Da was born in England so I send him a Happy George's day message every year. I think he really appreciates it.
There is no actual definitive proof that he was born on April 23rd but he was baptised on April 26th. Also, the Julian calendar was in use in 1564, not the Gregorian calendar, so there is a ten day discrepancy. The Spanish author of “Don Quixote”, Miguel de Cervantes may have died on April 23rd 1616 (probably April 22nd) but Shakespeare actually died on May 3rd 1616 NS. Spain had adopted the Gregorian calendar while it took us Brits 170 years to do so.
