Wigan win?

  • Total voters
    22
  • Poll closed .
People react differently to disapointment though .
It doesnt mean they want us to do badly .
Is reacting posting your disappointment on a public forum on regular basis and only when we are losing too very helpful ?
Its nothing personal aimed at you either, it's a cancer that is gaining momentum via social media. Take last Saturday on local Radio Humberside. City had just walloped Plymouth 3-0 away, and it could have been six, we were top of the league with daylight between us and the club in second. First text read out ? 'City will finish third and blow it in the Play Off's, Allam's out, McCann out' Was there any need to even read that one out ? Obviously not but they do because it encourages others to join in when we should have been celebrating the most goals scored away since 1965/66 and that we were top of the league. We took more then enough **** thrown at us when we weren't. Another point is that when posters have shown support for the club, manager or owners on here they get labelled 'super fans' by some. So what do they suggest we label those who take the opposite view ?
Grant McCann came off social media for a reason and some of you should question if some of your posts were part of that reason.

It’ll have beets fan of another club, possibly sport.
That’s the problem with things like that & public polls. It only takes a few idiots who have no connection to the club to make all supporters appear like morons.
How many Sky Sports polls are actually voted for by fans of that club? How often is goal of the month voted for online, it could be one of the best goals ever scored, but by Burnley, but Liverpool & Arsenal had a decent goal scored, so all their fans vote for their teams, despite them knowing Burnley had the best goal.
How often is the poll about sacking a manager? Solskjaer must have had at least 2 this season. There might be a few Utd fans who want rid, but I bet most are rival fans voting.

Exactly so it's meaningless ****e that is no way a true representation of the real supporters. But the negative and abusive stuff is still damaging.
And it's believed in some circles. Like the poster who claimed that 'nobody' gave City a chance this season.

This is the only social media I do and I'm hardly prolific on the mat h thread.

Was it fair game for Grant McCann and those who supported the Club in what they were trying to do to be pilloried in games we struggled?

There were numerous games where the Match day thread was quiet and orderly until we slipped a goal behind...Then the abuse started!McCann was a clueless Irish dud fitting square pegs in round holes,Allam was picking the team and was determined to punish us by further relegation etc, etc.

This isn't an argument about making predictions. This is the continuation of a season long war of words between those who hoped and thought we had a chance and those who didn't and wanted us to lose to make them appear correct.

A bit of banter and difference of opinion shouldn't be perceived as some sort of witch hunt.If people put comments up then they should accept that others might just disagree and question their reasoning(I'm subject to that on an almost daily basis).

Stop making mountains out of molehills...

Yeah, except it’s not really banter is it? It’s a recurring theme on here, that not being positive is tantamount to treason. You talk of not making mountains out of molehills, yet I’ve seen people tear into Quill, into GLP, into Edelman, into me, for criticising the team when it’s not doing as well as it could. So what? If I was underperforming, there’d be people commenting on my performance, it doesn’t mean I fold like a wet newspaper.

Some people on here are objective, they don’t give the team slack just because it’s their own and that’s fair enough. If it’s about respecting opinions, then you respect them all, period.
I agree that abuse is uncalled for, but saying a player isn’t doing well isn’t abuse. Calling somebody “an Irish prick” absolutely is, but I don’t recall any of the aforementioned using such language.

I’m not going to change how I support a team because it annoys other people (in fact, such attitudes are just going to encourage me to do it more), I don’t agree with the “everything is black and amber tinted” attitude but if that’s how people choose to view it, so be it.

I’d like anybody who “wants us to lose just to be right” to please quote this comment and reveal themselves.

This is is not just media it is anti social media.

And your post doesn’t add anything!
Noy sure it was supposed to it was a response to what I saw as being accused of constantly criticising .
There are nitmany of my posts on the match threads this season so make of it what you will.

"Grant McCann came off social media for a reason and some of you should question if some of your posts were part of that reason".

If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen springs to mind.

If he 'manned up' and apologised for the **** show last year he might get cut some slack.

FFS, give it a rest.

Not having a pop here, just a genuine question...
Do you honestly expect us to win every game 8.0?
Most of them, yes I do.
If we hit the target we probably would.
To be truthful though, I do expect us to concede one but I'm not letting Mr Negativity take charge.
Am I a realist, probably not.
Do I get upset if we only win 1 nil, not at all.
If we win 8 nil today, I am expecting 50 + likes to my score prediction.
Why do I think 8 nil?
Because I hate nil.
Hope that's not a whoosh to some.

The sun is shining, I started a new job last week and today 8 nil.
That'll do for my hat-trick Boom

Questioning a manager or arguing about form is what footballs all about and it’s fine in my book... provided it’s constructive. Wish I had a pound for every verbal ruck me and our kid had witnessed either travelling or pre match banter about City. Things are different now. Generally speaking Social media is great for info but with all it’s secrecy and pseudonyms its also opened the door for those who wouldn’t normally be so loud.

Your welcome to it.

The idea that anyone on here wants their club to fail just so their opinion is proved to be correct is ****ing ridiculous.

Everyone, every last one on here wants their club to win every game.People are wrong sometimes and they're happy to be wrong.

It's not rocket science, it's human nature. I don't rate Tom Eaves for instance, but should he score a hat trick today I'll be extatic and I'll dof my cap.

If Terry takes us to the Premier league, I'll demand he gets the freedom of the City.

If we just ignore what we see on the pitch and say everyone at Hull City is the best, then what is the point of a forum. What would there be to discuss?
