Exactly. Times change. Being wrong isn’t a “gotcha” moment. In January and February we looked like we were about to **** it, but then we rallied. That wasn’t guaranteed to happen, any number of possibilities could have come into play, thankfully we find ourselves in prime position with five to go. It’s not nailed on. Forget Sunderland, forget talk of promotion, focus on Fleetwood first.
I get that, but it’s only a bit of fun, it’s not like he put his house on it and declared it a certainty. Wait. @Edelman you didn’t stick the house on it did you?
Hindsight is great isn't it ? We didn't look anywhere near auto promo . I guess some of us should just invest in a Crystal ball
Liverpool fans probably thought they'd be challenging for the title at the start of the season, not lingering in 6th. It was a reasonable prediction for them to make since they were so strong last season. How many on here thought we'd finish rock bottom and get relegated last season? I certainly didn't. I still thought we'd still manage to stay up after losing 5 - 1 to Brentford at home since we were still 14th in the table.
People can make reasonable predictions based on current form. Everyone does it. Doesn't make you a **** if you're proved wrong. Nothing is certain in football. Well, except Spurs not winning a trophy. That's always a certainty.
I know we haven't won a trophy as well but Spurs not doing it seems like they're going out of their way to avoid winning one.
Their squad cost an absolute fortune to assemble, I’d say on the face of it they’ve got less excuses than we have...
Nobody ? You know that do you ? We all have opinions obviously but I also thought we were all supporters ? Did you read yesterday that Grant McCann came off social media in February ? Why was that do you think ? I doubt it was because he was too modest to take all the praise do you ? Negativity eats away at everything, and a bit of praise, even a bit of support during the hard times sometimes helps too. We could do with more of the latter.
Was it fair game for Grant McCann and those who supported the Club in what they were trying to do to be pilloried in games we struggled? There were numerous games where the Match day thread was quiet and orderly until we slipped a goal behind...Then the abuse started!McCann was a clueless Irish dud fitting square pegs in round holes,Allam was picking the team and was determined to punish us by further relegation etc, etc. This isn't an argument about making predictions. This is the continuation of a season long war of words between those who hoped and thought we had a chance and those who didn't and wanted us to lose to make them appear correct. A bit of banter and difference of opinion shouldn't be perceived as some sort of witch hunt.If people put comments up then they should accept that others might just disagree and question their reasoning(I'm subject to that on an almost daily basis). Stop making mountains out of molehills...
