To be fair, Charlton simply have our number. Bad time to play them, by that I mean when we could do with a win. But, onto the next. Can't win them all and it was a big ask to do so.
If it is the playoffs, and we manage to get to the final, and it's Charlton.... just give them the win. lol
We have played worse and won... There first goal there was a block that the ref did not give.. their 2nd was individual mistakes. We had lots of the ball and enough chance to score, to win.. Wyke could have had a hat-trick first half. Automatic promotion has become a lot more difficult... Still a possibility but the odds are dropping.. Jog onto next game...
Yeah they are all coming out of the woodwork tonight I'm putting my shortlist together but it's getting longer
And some fans are sad fickle buggers who wallow in being miserable. Been going since 1970 and has forever been so. Never forget was at Huddersfield away in the 80's. Their old ground. First game of the season. There was a cock up with the strips and we came out in orange with black shorts. The chap in front of me starts ranting "bloody hell we look like Wolves" "and we were ****e last year" "We'll end up like Wolves in the Forth division mark my words" Bear in mind at this point not a ball of the season has been kicked Was that you.
Right! Why do we not start with our international RB in the RB position instead of putting one of our midfielders there. Why do we slow everything down with Sanderson and Onion passing between each other and eventually back to Burge. Why do we seem to pass to one of our players out on the wing when they are tightly surrounded by 3 opposition players so that they either lose it or try to kick it back to our defenders. When oppositions have a free kick in the middle of the pitch they send the ball into our penalty area causing us to panic and often creating goal scoring chances for them yet we always seem to take a quick free kick to a player a couple of feet away and then, with the opposition closing in, eventually belt it back to Burge. I’ve noticed that when we play quick and close the opposition down quickly, we often win. When we play like today, ponderous and sideways, we make it so difficult. The stats someone put up earlier look good for us today but I couldn’t give any of our players more than a 5, including the manager. Charlton looked like they wanted it today, we looked like we weren’t really that bothered. It’s true that we haven’t played well for a while although we were still getting points. I think we’ve been lucky to get points in some of our recent games They say picking up points while playing poorly is the sign of a good team but it seems we’ve been picking up too many points we really don’t deserve. Its hard to understand because we have some excellent players. I hope whatever it is that’s causing our poor performances gets sorted out very soon because on this form we will not win the play offs. If we get it right, with our squad we can outplay every other team in this league. This squad can either win the league or go out in the first round of the playoffs and I don’t know which it will be.
Lesson on of the day. It looks like we are always one bad result away from the return of the doom and gloom merchants on social media.
Totally agree. With a fair wind could have been 3-0 up before they had scored Just because we win a few games doesn't make us world beaters and likewise losing one doesn't make us ****e. We move on but now need to beat Wigan to keep on track.
Scowen scored with a header 12 inches off the ground from the 18 yard line ... a strange and awful result game
What I think has no bearing on the team you sad little speck of dirt ... ... and, if you had a brain, you'd know it was 'gung ho' ffs. What a pathetic specimen you are, thankfully I'll never have to tolerate your presence in real life.
If we had started with your team we might have, who knows, the shambles that started had no chance, unless Charlton failed to show up, the bench was our only hope and it was used too late. Its not like its the first time either imo. The treatment of Younger Diamond and Neil says a lot more to me about LJ., much more than his smarmy patter.
