I don’t think anyone expects WBA or Sheffield to survive so who would you like to join them? Fulham: Positive - We’d get rid of a London club Negative - They’re not going to improve next season Brighton: Positive - They saw us as a relegation rival (last laugh) Negative - Same as Fulham they’re not likely to improve, Ben White will probably join a rival. Southampton: Positive- Apart from being a distance (like Brighton) to travel to I can’t find a positive Negative - Likewise they’re a team I care not one way or the other Newscastle: Positive - Most likely team to turn it around in a season, Steve Bruce Negative - They’re well supported, not so far, a better match to look forward to. Conclusion - I want Brighton to go down
Brighton for me too. But don't think they will. That Fulham v Newcastle game, last day of the season, will be the decider I feel. Especially if Fulham get something at Villa and Newcastle lose as I expect them to.
Newcastle for me as always hated big mouths. Plus cant wait to see how many of our fans want Steve Bruce to take over from Bielsa. Who would spend way over £45m for a striker who falls over his own feet oh and cannot score a goal. Bruce actually bought some very players in the Summer but hes crap and doesnt know how to use them. St Maxime to Leeds in the Summer
If Brighton drop I will pee myself as they had a chance to sell Ben White for £30m and could have bought a couple of decent players even a top striker to keep them up.
When I did my prediction table for the whole league on 13th March (https://not606.com/threads/weekend-discussion.391330/page-2#post-14712669) I had Newcastle being the third team to go down on 32 points. I like Graham Potter as a manager, so don't mind Brighton staying up and don't have any preference on any of the other teams, so I will stick with who I predicted. In my prediction I had us as finishing on 55 points in tenth position and stated that I think my predictions for the last 5 five games may have been a bit bold as I had us on 42 points with 5 games to go. So if I really am Nostradamus reincarnated, our next three games are all freebies, as we have already reached the position we need to be in for our end of season run in ( think I had us getting 2 points from the next 3 games, 2 draws presumable against Liverpool and Scum, as felt we would only get a draw against Fulham too, so we are at present 2 points better off than I predicted )
I thought Leeds handled the White saga terrifically well. They had a value to the player but were never held to ransom. Llorente looks a more composed defender. Koch looks of similar ability to White. Cooper has transitioned in to PL football quite well and Struijk looks like he could end up playing international football for Holland or Belgium very soon. I wouldn't go in for White again even if Brighton went down.
I want Brighton to go down. after reading their forums on the White saga start of the season. they thought they were so much better than us. some of the bullSh&t thrown around was laughable. So my Heart wants Brighton. My Head says it will be a last day decider between Fulham and Newcastle. (Which is going to be major talking point if Fulham are allowed home fans in.)
Brighton didn't do anything we would've done. Sure we wanted Ben White but they didn't want to sell. Other teams want Raphinha, but we don't want to sell. There are too many London clubs in the EPL, so I want Fulham to go down. Norwich, Swansea and Barnsley are the teams I like to see promoted but realistically it's going to be Watford and there's just something dour about that club that I don't like.
Raphinha is just a name to throw in because he's had a good start in the prem, you know the usual rubbish to make an headline....plenty of other headlines are the same....rubbish
