Neither Diamond or Gooch are nasty enough for this league ... .... Maguire can be, but he's way too inconsistent.
That makes perfect sense. Hopefully he then stays fit for the rest of the season. I'm a bit concerned he's only played a few games and has then been injured, going forward we need players like 09, McGeady and Wyke who (touch wood) are fit to play every week. Hopefully it was just bad luck.
decent news on Jones - feared he'd be longer. This is about the first time it's been suggested he has a chance - which hopefully means he will be back for one of the two big easter weekend games
If he has a 30% chance that should mean a sub-appearance in the last 20 minutes. It's great that all the outfield subs feel they have a chance of being involved.
Sounds to me that one of them was doing something they shouldn’t have been and they’ve been tested as precautionary, good to hear they’re all okay
I think the week off came at a perfect time for us, couple of keys players that bit closer to being ready, and fresh legs for a run of games that defines it all. Tomorrow should be a win and then we are getting into the deciders. 7 or 9 points from next three and I’m convinced we’ve done it. Echo what’s been said, don’t even consider Jones, he’s got far too big a role to play in the run in to gamble with him against a poor side.
completely agree. I was more encouraged that the fact he's almost ready for these ones suggest he's got a decent chance for one of Oxford / Peterborough over Easter (likely just one of those games if its hamstring)
Barton has just absolutely panned the previous coaching team he took over from at Bristol. He said if they were doctors they would of been struck off for negligence
Sounds like more or less the same squad we had for Lincoln game. be interesting to see if AOB comes straight back into the team Power or Younger at RB in the absence of McLaughlin?
First order of business is a clean sheet and then get a couple of goals to make it a comfortable afternoon for us fans then let's see how the other teams in the top 6 fair. It seems at least 1 team at the top drops points every round of games and we have been taking advantage recently. 0-2 for the Lads and no injuries. Great thread RTB. Ha'Way The Lads
My guess is it will be Power, if he follows a familiar pattern, which is a shame imo as it will weaken our mid field slightly and cast doubt about Younger's future at the same time..
