I was like that for literally years, apart from the last 6 months. I see no point in reading views of the ones that openly said they ignore me, as i literally cant engage with them, which is actually a genuine real shame. Apart from that lovely person in Norwich, the one I’d love to see sent to jail, in the hope someone wants to see how much money he has in his prison wallet.
I think that is sad. His actions in the past are not altered by his opinions now. He is a footballer and not an intellectual.
I like Schad’s posts, clearly a very intellectual guy, but there are a few times perhaps that he suggests things that haven’t been mentioned
I may actually have said that exact thing to him recently - apologies Schad, maybe that was a little out of order
In both cases there were conversations with the mods about how it might be better if we ignored each other, heh. I don't ignore people because we disagree, but if it impacts on the forum as a whole I will.
Has anyone seen any posts from Power to the Billies recently. Haven't seen any for a while. Hope he's ok. Seriously mate, we are all equals on here and it would be a very dull place if we had the same views on everything. It's healthy to challenge.
I think if we had these discussions at the pub before a game we would still not always agree but all leave as mates. Usually the typed word or reply be it a text or on here is not always read as it was intended or comes across more 'knobby' or aggressive than in person.
You’ve a great point here and I totally agree. Much is said one way, and taken another, and I will undoubtedly have done this at many points i expect. I think it is far easier to be dismissive here though, and maybe because we dont always get the context, tone, humour etc. In fact, think I may apply to to be a Mod on here with such an epiphany. Chilco - where can I stick my application... Here
I have MLTs Twitter on ignore. Well, not just him. I have all of Twitter on ignore. Interestingly, no one has even tried to convince me I’m missing anything
Listen Caerphilly I don't usually spread cheese conspiracies and may be a bit crackers, but does blue cheese go bad or does it get better?
Ingratiating himself a little more by doing an AskMatt sporting Q&A on Twitter. He's still Saints through and through.
Funny you mention this. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve deliberately tried not to scroll through social media as much as I used to. Last week my average daily screen time on my phone dropped from about five hours a day to 2.5 hours a day (that’s for everything on my phone, not just social media). Now I’d not had any mental health issues or anything like that, I simply wanted to spend less time on my phone. But I was very surprised to feel a lot more relaxed/at ease having taken in less social media. I didn’t particularly feel bad before, but I certainly feel better having taken in less of the crap online. I’d recommend that to anyone.
