Thing about that was, it was totally genuine, he went there for summat to do. Others do it for a photo shoot and to get in the news. I might be wrong, but don't think so.
Quotes from the time Slutsky went. "I'm amazed Sluts is still here tbh .. he has shown time and again he is out of his depth in the English leagues with stupid team selections .. piss poor tactics and an inability to see what the rest of us see during a game. His training techniques are none existent judging by the **** shower the defence serve up week after week. I've said for a while that this ain't a great squad .. but an organiser who drills them in training will improve our defensive performances. Couple that with this insane habit of his on the touchline and inability to get his instructions across beggars belief tbh. He needs to go .. and we need to get in anyone who has the ability to organise this shower of shyte" "I don't feel sorry for the manger he's clearly not up to the job and in normal circumstances he'd be gone." "We might as well not have had a head coach yesterday, he was as much a spectator as I was, I've no doubt another manager could get far more out of this squad (they're obviously not world beaters and we lack options, but we're continuing to draw and lose games against teams with squads which are no better)." "slutsky doesn’t appear to do anything on the sideline so we need someone who can come in and organise us better and make is hard to beat first of all"
Agreed. Slutsky has nothing to lose. I doubt he's got any ambitions to manage in this country again and the influence that the Allam's may have to make life difficult for people probably doesn't stretch as far as Moscow. All their other ex-managers are still in gainful employment (or may want to be) within this country. And we have a culture of not telling it like it is anyway. I'd love it if Leonid actually wrote an decent length article on his time with us. It would make a fascinating read.
Are you saying it’s a false account? That it’s not true??? Seems 100% bang on the money to me. Exactly what we all felt & discussed at the time.
