There was a situation a couple of years ago where his dad rejected the Gabon job due to some long-standing health issues. It may be related to his dad's health. Usually, him, his brother and his dad are fairly active on social media, but they haven't been (properly) for a little while now. I know it's not good to speculate, but with something like this, I do fear it's more than just woman problems... Whatever the situation is, I hope they all come through it ok.
He's just released a statement and his mother's going through some health issues. Sounds like a positive update, though.
Yep. rivalry aside obviously wish him well with that. Interestingly Arteta was very cagey about where he'd gone to look after her. Some speculation that quarantine will be required when he comes back.
And that's fair enough. There are more important things in life than football and a parent's health is definitely one of them.
Luiz and Leno sent off and Wolves lead 2-1. Leno off for handball which VAR examined in detail. Unlike last Thursday...
I thought it was harsh, but the difference was the ball runs past him if he doesn't stick his hand out. In the Liverpool match the ball would have hit Allyson in the chest if he hadn't handled it so not a clear DOGSO.
The relevance is that VaR can only check penalties and red cards. So it can only be checked if it was a DOGSO. Since both were deliberate handballs the ref is essentially having to make the call of what would have happened if they hadn't handled it. In those circumstances VaR is likely not to overturn the on field decision.
Arsenal fail in their appeal of Luiz' red card: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55937008 What the **** is Arteta talking about? Anyone? He's gone full Wenger.
Must be quite embarrassing that Birmingham City, a club now faded into obscurity, have won silverware more recently than you have. And no, Audi Cups do not count.
I'd say we've more than made up for it since, don't you? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
