Really not sure how Ings got an advantage with his arm where it was. The rest of them was behind the defender. But then Saints should have had a blatent penalty.

VAR was terrible, referee was terrible Saints passing in the final third was terrible.

Saints should have had a least a point but Saints had themselves to blame but the refereeing didn't help.

We’re too slow going forwards and need to switch play earlier and quicker. We can’t break teams down when they get 10 men behind the ball, we need to face the fact our best chance is quick passes forward and set pieces. And we don’t score set pieces without Vestergaard.
Please can I triple like this. Sept to Nov we were great. Last three games Vesty got man of the match. He is our most creative goalscorer and a huge goal threat

Told ya bro. Almost as if I was right all along ;)
Lol its like it's become an excuse for decisions as opposed to common sense and in game context making those decisions.

What ya gonna do about it tho. <laugh>

I don't make the rules you bellend. And in my book, that wasn't offside. I've never agreed with that "shirt sleeve" rule. It's bollocks.
It’s not up to you to agree to. It’s the rules & that’s why I pulled you. The rules say & you know that so stop changing fcuking horses when you want. Again, hypocritical tosspot.

Saints 0 VAR 1. Much better second half and that should help their confidence. I'm actually more worried about the injuries.

That offside is so annoying. When the offside was changed in the 90's the whole point was to promote attacking play and it was clearly said that if level, the advantage should be given to the attacking team.

At the rate of our injuries, I don't think Jankewitz need worry about not getting regular first team football. We'll soon be building the team around him!!

No they probably don't TBF. The goalposts are being changed every few weeks. The handball, I can understand why it wasn't given due to the wording of the handball law. It should have been a pen, but I can get why it wasn't given. On the other hand, the person who came up with the arm sleeve guideline for offsides should be sacked. You can't legally score with your arm so the guideline HAS to be the shoulder like it was before. That goal was perfectly legal.

Well they just said on sky that you can score if it hits your sleeve or above, strikers should all wear long sleeve shirts

I’m choosing just to laugh at this, as if I don’t, I’m never watching football again.

The problem is, and as much as I'm missing football during lockdown...

Am I really going to be spending 40/50 notes to watch this pathetic excuse for a 'sport'?

Not ****ing likely tbh, and it saddens me greatly.

On a separate point from the obvious, what do we make of Ings since his injury? I thought he was very quiet yet again tonight.

Does he deserve to be our highest earning player of all time?
At 29 in the summer is he worth £30m?

Or does he just need more time to get back to his best?

Can`t change anything now - plenty positives for Saints, next time the decisions will go our way. Romeu played well, and I thought Jankewitz looked good in the short time he had. Hopefully Diallo and Theo are not serious.
