I am always puzzled how it seems difficult for players to play 3 games in a week. Given that most of them are in their early 20's are fitter than say 95% of the population. Discuss.
At least 99%, I'd have thought. I don't think it's that they *can't* – it's that if they really give it all every match, there'd inevitably be some small drop-off compared to their performance with longer rests in between. It's only small margins, but if a player covers, say, 200m less ground in a game than he would have if fresher, that might be the difference between making or missing that one late run into the box or picking up an unmarked runner. There's also the increased risk of injuries, of course. I don't think we're in that position at the moment, tbh – I'm all for picking the strongest team for every league match right now. But of course we don't see them in training and don't have the data on players' fitness levels that the coaching team have.
Just a thought. But suggest trying to get it set up a few hours before the match then test it by playing a couple of the old games on city's ifollow. Not like me and miss the first 20 minutes of a game trying to get it sorted. Lol
Mine is doing the same, I thought I would try and get Ifollow up on the TV for the game tonight, I've always watched on my laptop up till now, so got up the last Saturdays game again to watch. It was great for about a minute then frozen. I tried it 3 times and the same.
I've no evidence for this (other than 40 years in software development) but I'm not sure how good browsers are in tv sets. I have a 5 year old Sony and the browser is completely useless. I don't imagine the manufacturers invest too much in development when most people will use a phone/computer if they want to browse the net. I've been watching ifollow most of this season on a laptop with no problems apart from an occasional lag for a few seconds. I connect to my tv via hdmi cable.
em, will see if I can find a solution to that. other option of course is a firestick (£25 currys click and collect lol) but will see if there is a remedy
I have a 4k firestick I used on my previous TV but haven't bothered setting it up on this one as everything I want to watch already has an app on for it.
Will give it another go. Will have to watch on tablet or blow the cobwebs off the laptop and connect that up.
I am always puzzled at the thought they can't...It's not as if the anaerobic exercise is total over a 90 minute period... Other athletes, different disciplines seem to be able to manage it... I think this one of the managers biggest problems, accommodating those in and around the first team. I'd have been royaly pissed off if I was Emmanuel, and you can be sure Crowley will be pushing for starts. But at who's expense. If we score early tonight, I can see a similar result to Saturday.
You can get usb-c to hdmi adapter cables which should allow you to connect the tablet to tv, eg: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=hdmi adapter tablet&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
10/1 2-0 on Betfair exchange 20/1 3-0 on Betfair exchange... 35/1 4-0 on Betfair Sportsbook What a crock Betfair are.... first goalscorers... Scott, Mayer and Samuelson all 5/1.... FFS!!!! 35/1 Jacob Greaves First goalscorer... worth a couple of pounds... I've also backed the Doc to score first at 16/1... and Emmanuelle at 60/1 ...
May get one if it doesn't work tonight. Only had this TV for a couple of weeks. Only just got the picture set up the way I like. So will try and play it through the browser.
