Can Burge really be that bad, 22 other keepers have conceded more goals ... ... and I don't think he conceded all of ours.
Problem is if our keeper lets one in we usually have to score two to win, and therein lies the problem. As we all know our forwards aren’t good enough to do that too often
Johnson says takeover is pending and he says as far as he is aware there are no problems https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...pdate-club-sale-ahead-shrewsbury-town-3109862
Burge is a competent shot stopper but he's had two horrible fluffs this season which both lead to goals and I like a loudmouth goalie who organises the defence, Burge neither looks to have any confidence of his own or the ability to inspire it in others. The opposite actually, it's horrible for defences to know their keeper is crapping himself. It's a problem area for me (the keeper, not crapping myself) and one I'd prioritise fairly high.
Absolutely! Tuesday night was another kick in the bollocks after yet another false dawn. As a Sunderland fan I have hit rock bottom after rock bottom. It's all well and good having been told that KLD is putting in good foundations, but that doesn't help me shift the fear of them subsiding again and most of all I just want him to switch on the light at the end of this tunnel.
I think if it had been sorted and announced there would have been more transfer activity. I’m not saying we would be signing big name players or anything but I think a couple might have left and at least one more through the door
I bet at least a few of those keeper's teams have better strikers than we have. I would happily concede a goal every game if we were scoring two or three every game. The trouble is our, ahem, strike force often go AWOL in the same game that our keeper drops a clanger.
True but the players he has brought in since purchasing the club displays his lack of knowledge of the standard necessary for this league.
That is not what you said We have a team full of bang average League one and League two players. The only one above that is Mcgeady. Donald in 3 seasons has turned us from a team pushing for promotion into one that struggles to make the play offs. If we were to get promoted with this lot god help us. Having said all that I remain confident my beloved Sunderland will rise again. We need the takeover sorted ASAP to give a fresh impetus to the whole set up.
The take over has happened Riever Prehab and others have said the appointments made show it has been done Some still want to moan ( cause thats what they like doing ) who knows he may have players lined up for last day of window
