Liverpool down to 4th :emoticon-0136-giggl

I think that it will be a good season for Liverpool if they finish in fourth. They have Spurs next in the league which will not be easy. The best three teams in the country are in the top three places and I have been surprised to read some ex-players and journalists stating as recently as before the Man Utd match last weekend that Liverpool are still superior to everyone else. The title will probably end up to be between Man City and Utd although Leicester will run them close. It would not be surprising if there was a larger gap between the 3rd and 4th position than the current four points. With Spurs having a game in hand, Liverpool will need to battle to stay in the to four. Talk of retaining the title must surely now lack credibility.

I'd really like that battle to stay in the top four to be against us...

(Big ask, I know, but man it would be fun!)

... with Titanic music playing as we enter the last minute, with Shane Long bursting forward from deep in our half, in the game that decides it at Anfield delicately poised at 0-0

Ok. I know!

Or just head it away.

and this for me is the issue.

Head it away from what? Why should Mings head the ball, likely giving it back to the opposition when there is no player interfering with play? And the real answer is that he clearly IS interfering with play.

(apologies I seem to be a long way behind the thread lol )
