Yep. Rottnest has had quite a bit of a makeover in the last couple of years. Next time the job for OIC Rottnest police station comes around I’m putting in for it.
It's inevitable some of the very sick & infirm won't make it as a result of the vaccine. It's either that, or get a full dose of the virus eventually. Awful decision to make.
Yes, there is a Geordie Bay there. I’ve tried to find out the etymology of it to see if it has a NE connection but haven’t found out anything yet. It’s a great place to go snorkelling.
IIRC Geordies, got their nickname cos they were asre licking some king, whereas Sunderland folk thought royalty were a bunch of siht. Bay was more likely named after some chinless wonder.
I was born at QE in Gateshead, and lived in Jarrow, so yes I am a Geordie.... but if you born in Sunderland, Durham etc, no you are not! IMHO of course.
I think you've got your Jeremys mixed up marra, Jeremy Vine is a Radio 2 current affairs programme with some music thrown in, certainly not a 'Freddie Starr' type audience I wouldn't say, and no loonies on usually. Are you on about Jerermy Kyle by any chance?
You're quite right, I often mix them up, I actually listen to Vine but don't watch Kyle. Whatever the case I don't like these phone-ins when random people are allowed to spout nonsense to the nation. Vine does allow some real clowns on there as it brings in an audience although Kyle is just a freak show.
Welsh Govt, what complete and utter arses! On Monday, Mr Drakeford told BBC Radio 4's Today programme the supply of the Pfizer vaccine had to last until February and was not being used all at once. "There will be no point, and certainly it will be logistically very damaging, to try to use all of that in the first week and then to have all our vaccinators standing around with nothing to do for another month," he said. "The sensible thing to do is to use the vaccine you've got over the period that you've got it for so that your system can absorb it, they can go on working, that you don't have people standing around with nothing to do."
I wouldn't know, never watched J Kyle ( I think it was binned a few years ago) but I do enjoy listening to Jeremy Vine most days at work, good programme.
What a fecking pedantic plank. I'm sure they could be doing other things if they're not vaccinating. like catching up on sleep, doing the washing, cooking, going for a ****ing walk. Vaccinate people asap Drakeford, you bellend
As if that wasn't bad enough, it appears here in Wales they did no infrastructure planning at all before the vaccines were improved because yesterday on the BEEB they had this (within the piece where the chair of Wales' vaccination board was wheeled out to say that the regional health boards were getting all the vaccine doses they were asking for) But a Welsh Government minister defended the rollout and said the vaccine infrastructure is "growing". "We're moving from a situation where we were using 50% of the stock for first vaccine to a situation where we are now using 100%," Counsel General Jeremy Miles told the BBC's Politics Wales show. "In order to deliver that, the infrastructure for vaccinating needs to be increased and that infrastructure is being brought forward." And the stupid barstewards are trying to pass that off as a plus https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-55690575?at_custom4=011507C8-5965-11EB-974B-24460EDC252D&at_custom2=twitter&at_campaign=64&at_custom3=@BBCr4today&at_medium=custom7&at_custom1=[post type]
You really have to feel for the NHS and other front line workers, they're exhausted and things just keep getting worse. I'm just watching the news and it seems we currently have the worst death rate in the world ... .... I'm blaming no-one but how has it come to this after all the money that's been thrown at this. When you look at some of the countries doing better than us it's just baffling.
I'm not sure what period they're talking about, just saw a quick clip on Breakfast News tbh. Even so, if that figure is current, 8th is still horrendous for such a wealthy nation. We shouldn't be in the top 100, never mind the top 10. Ive also just seen a big jokey report on tennis players practicing in Melbourne hotel rooms. Honestly mate, wtf are people doing, flying around the world playing tennis ... ... if that's essential travel I've completely lost track of reality.
We have moved up to 6th, after this last week. Our death rate should, in theory, drop off to just a trickle in 6 - 8 weeks once all these vaccinations of the elderly and most critical patients are done. Unfortunately, we'll probably see other countries still struggling for quite a while until they've caught up with their vaccinations and we should drop back down that list.
