Well Huddersfield Town come around again, a big name from yesteryear....now grazing in our league...down with the also rans! No disrespect intended to either team (nor indeed you Clingon), but we are what we are, and as Masky says to his todger each morning....it is what it is! Can’t help but notice that Danny Ward has not been involved recently, or if at all....injured perhaps? However Frazier Campbell will be there, battling away, he was a bit of a favourite, did well for city, sure the crowd will give him a welcome! You just knew that we would win that game against Luton Frown, as a full concentration was needed by the team, and that’s what they had...not so sure this time....after the Lord Mayor’s Parade.....hmmmm! A poor performance or a defeat will see the end for NH, a win will paper the cracks! Masky is off to paper his crap....it’s that time of day! 2-1 city! Ken Thorne City shirt for sale!
This fixture always takes me back to my late teenage years, specifically the 1923-24 season when we finished second to Huddersfield Town in the first division (then the top flight). That season we did the double over both Arsenal and Liverpool and I got a farthing a week pocket money. Halcyon days. Getting back up to date, this will be an interesting test as Huddersfield are likely to less naive than Luton in their tactics. As Masky says, will it be a case of after the Lord Mayor's parade, or will we get a bounce from the 4-0 victory. NH has a lot riding on it.
Agree clingo - the Luton game was a good performance but against a side that played into our hands - it could have been 6 or 7 such was the way they pushed on. Apart from those missed chances of ours we were very lucky not to lose that clean sheet through backing off Morrell on his run. He was given the freedom of the park heading for our penalty area. His shot beat Smithies all ends up but luckily hit the post - a big let off. I very much doubt Huddersfield will take the same approach, but that doesn't mean we should alter ours. Barring injuries, put the same starting 11 out again and resist the temptation to tinker. I'm not a fan of a Ralls/Vaulks midfield pairing but to be fair it did work on Saturday. With Bacuna seemingly stuck with the RB slot, it maybe the way to go keeping Pack to hopefully see games out rather than win them from the start.
It’s good to see Masky being quoted in a positive way sweet chum....means a lot! Not a bit like BFB and that other fella eh?
