Meanwhile, the visitors make the trip to Hertfordshire sitting in 15th position after losing four of their last half-a-dozen fixtures. please log in to view this image Given the quality which he has at his disposal, Watford boss Vladimir Ivic has come in for criticism for the level of performances produced by his squad this season. However, helped by a recent four-match unbeaten streak, Watford still sit in fifth place, a position which most fans would have taken after the upheaval earlier this year. Ivic will naturally want to see more goals from his team over the coming weeks, but there could be few complaints with a hard-earned point coming from a goalless draw at Bristol City. Watford managed to shut out a team which had won their previous three matches, and it was a further sign that the Serbian is prepared to put results over style in order to gain promotion. That said, Watford return to action at their home ground having recorded consecutive 3-2 victories over Stoke City and Coventry City, leaving fans to anticipate a similar attack-minded showing at the weekend. Preston supporters will be of the same opinion with their 3-0 win at then-leaders Reading being followed by below-par showings in their following three matches. please log in to view this image While that run included a 1-0 success over lowly Sheffield Wednesday, Alex Neil's side continue to struggle for consistency on the back of eye-catching results. That has left Preston an equal distance between the playoffs and the relegation zone, increasing concern that a season in mid-table obscurity is on the horizon. On a positive side, their current standing gives Neil some freedom to throw caution to the wind on Saturday, and Watford will be wary that Preston have scored almost half of their goals this season at Reading and Brentford. Team News Preston have two players suspended and another waiting to see what the outcome will be of his rather unseemly groping another player. WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD - ENJOY THE GAME
Apparently we have three players unavailable because they are Covid-19 positive. Does anyone know who they are?

Nice thread mate - but you may have to change the Transfers In section to Transfers Out. They have all gone apart from Pedro - who transferred here last season. Stipe Perica and William Troost-Ekong are newbies this season.
Darnell Fisher has been suspended for three games after grabbing the genitals of Sheffield Wednesday's Callum Paterson during Preston's game on Saturday.
I think that Vlad would like four at the back but daren't do it because of no real left back. If he risked it that would allow for two at the front and a more roving role for Sarr. As it is neither Sarr nor Joao Pedro really understand what they are supposed to be doing and there is no one where they expect a centre forward to be. Perica and Deeney should be allowed to create a partnership with both Sarr and Joao Pedro on the bench. The problem is that we have too many midfielders out so there would be no one to provide the forwards with scoring opportunities. We will have three at the back. I would imagine that Kiko will be left wing back and Ngakia right wing back. The problem is that we have no real ball winners in the middle. We can't rely on Garner and Quina, and I have my doubts about Chalobah. This is why we are relying on centre backs to score. There seems to be a big disconnect between the backs and the midfield and the midfield and the forwards.
Sarr should be dominated in games - not looking lost. Pedro does too now. Gray and Deeney could be good or really bad ! Only Foster and the defence are consistent really.
I wonder if it was tactics that subdued both Sarr and Pedro......... a touch of disaffection was evident too
Now that would be a team who could get stuck in and look committed. Good mix of experience and youth . Buckley,Lansbury and Loach had great potential but never lived up to it. Few recognised names in the Preston team. What was the score ? We usually lose up there !
Happy birthday Dave Watts! Remember we won 3-1 with Kennedy getting 2. Now he was a good left wing back.
