Don't think there's any reason to worry about this other bloke being mentioned. The KLD deal seems to be very far progressed, it also seems ideal for Donald in that it keeps him with a share of a Sunderland which is owned by a billionaire. He's not daft, he'll know how much those shares could be worth in the future. I imagine he'd prefer that deal to simply being bought out now, especially since the new name mentioned doesn't seem likely to have daft money to throw at the bid. Plus it would be a risk for Donald that it might not go through. The safe, and likely more lucrative, deal will be the one he's got already. I don't think even he will mess about this time
So are you saying the fat lady has finished the first verse and we're all about to join in with the chorus... "By far the greatest team..."?
The lad off RTG who has sources at SKY and other journalists has also stated the deal was agreed that Friday. Always good when two people with sources hear exactly the same thing
I guess if the deal is signed and just pending final approval from EFL then Donald is actually probably unable to sack Parkinson without permission from the buyers.
I expect that when they do take over that they already have top people lined up to manage the club itself, if they get the top management sorted in terms of a DOF and CEO, the rest of the appointments like academy manager, team manager etc should in theory be able to hit the ground running. Ideally they could have all the top jobs ready to be filled. I can't imagine that we will see the equivalents of Byrne or Bain involved, or Donald for that matter who gave Jurassic a 2 1/2 year contract. Stating the obvious I know, but we will hopefully know very soon.
If we are going down the sporting director/DOF, we'll possibly end up with a manager/coach we've never heard of. I personnel haven't got a problem with that. I think we need to be more like Barnsley or brentford, identify how we want to play and get a coach, who can coach that style.
Nigel Pearson seems a bit of an arrogant cock which is why he’d be ****ing perfect. Won’t get him gleaming over a point at Doncaster
It has to be like mate. What message would it send out to the fans if the new regime kept Phil ****ing Parkinson in charge Any chance it could go through this week?
markdonnelly_: I understand the national reports suggesting that American investor Matthew Pauls is eyeing a deal for Sunderland AFC are accurate. Pauls has been keen on a deal for a number of months and has secured financial backing. Full story on @sunechosafc shortly.
