Fantastic news. Although the working class won't get a sniff of it for at least 2 years.
1. Rich
2. Vulnerable
3. Emergency services/NHS
4. Education ie teachers
5. High risk areas
6. Working class and everyone else.

I just hope that those that need it most get it first.

It should be given first to people most likely to transmit the virus.

Sadly this isn't people in care homes.

Stopping the virus spreading is the key.

I hope it is effective but I'll not be rushing out trying to buy 2 shots. I just think it's too early to say there will be no side effects or long term problems.

Not wanting to be negative by the way after all this is the start of the recovery phase.

I'm a natural sceptic. But this vaccine has went through stage 3 trials with nearly 50,000 people involved. I'd say it will probably be harmless of a sample size that big has thrown no serious issues up yet.

Well the countrywide , population wide discussion and argument over who goes first will at least make a change from the national divisions of lockdown , politics and brexit

My wife will get it early on, which is expected being a nurse. I will probably never get it, or will be very low down on the list to have it which is fair enough as I am young enough and healthy enough as opposed to the majority of the country who are either older or have underlying health conditions. I wouldn't want it before anyone who needs it more than myself but when offered it then I will absolutely take it, why not?

I just hope the claim of first batch for December is true and we can start looking forward with hope of a brighter 2021.

Had proper flu a few times in the past, including being blue-lighted into hospital one time. Took months to get over it each time - like 'long covid' except they called it post-viral syndrome.

You can appreciate that I always get a flu jab, although I'm still waiting on this years jab - so I'm concerned about the ability of the NHS to get this out to the people that need it.

Perhaps we'll get lucky and they will use the armed forces so as to keep the NHS focused on its primary mission.

I'll be having it , my sister passed with it last weekend my daughter has seen enough family member pass over the last four years without me popping me clogs aswell.
Sorry to hear it mate. I’m crossing fingers here - sister and my mam and dad all confirmed with it today ffs and the other ones shielding after radiotherapy plus I’m in isolation till next week. Madness. I’ll be having it no question.

Apparently the vaccine has to be stored at minus 70 and brought in from Belgium, worries for Britain is how it’s gonna happen with brexit. More on the news at 6pm
