fine do what i always wanted and scrap it but we both know that aint happening . The only consistent thing about the present system is that it is universally disliked in this country .
Yes, but that still requires that play continues after the flag is raised until the move is over, and that introduces more issues, as I've mentioned previously. It's all neither fish nor fowl atm, and needs sorting out.
Unless there can be a instant and accurate solution (introduction of more advanced technology and eliminating human input would be the only way imo), it won't be accepted. What one person deems acceptable, another will see as a travesty of justice. People will accept human error with no technology support (to a degree). With that support, decisions need to be accurate to avoid flack. Not arguing against you mate, just playing devil's advocate. I'm with you in getting rid but it won't happen.
The refs and Var operators should be mic'd up as in RU.That way they can't hide or cover up their decisions.Offside should be judged on the feet .
one of the few uses i could see for VAR was to reduce the amount of grabbing at players at corners / free kicks yet that seems to be something they want nowt to do with see Maguire on Azpilcueta which is a stone wall penalty yet no sign they even looked .
That did clamp down on it initially but like every effort they've ever made on grabbing, it just got forgotten about after a couple of weeks.
How many rules have there been down the years that they're all over for a bit then they just fade away...? Still they keep tinkering. Players, managers, pundits and fans alike are all pissed off with this constant screwing around with the game but they just wave it all aside.
It is still a yellow card offence for delaying the taking of a free kick however can any one remember one being issued with the exception of booting the ball away .
Indeed thats what I'm thinking of. If I remember correctly he didn't get booked the 2nd time, much to the annoyance of the Premier league board.
I think one was for blocking a free kick and the other a very minor foul. Against Villa, if memory serves me right?
I had it in my head that it was for committing the same offence twice, but I could be wrong. Can't remember the game.
The derby was a draw you helmet, and the actual debate was around which set of fans would take a defeat worst. Also, I like the way you regularly increase Ancelotti’s salary Lastly, we’re still top of the league after 6 games, which literally no one would have called, least of all you.
£11.5m guaranteed + £2.5m for avoiding relegation I'm still happy with my call that you finish the season bottom half.
Then you’ll be happy to put your avatar on it for a full season then? Everton finish top half you lose, vice versa you win. Don’t #bottleit
No thanks. If a mid-table side gets a major Covid infection and Everton just about sneak top 10 then I'm still happy but not losing my avatar over it.
