Oh my gosh. Face Time Bourbon is pretty much accepted as the best trotter on the planet at the moment. Yesterday at Vincennes, he won his 11th G1 race and in the process posted a course time no other horse has ever managed. And he did it conceding 50m to half the field. And he did it on his ear. What a beast. Yellow and green. The outside of the back line.
Yesterday, the English daughter of Galileo, Magic Attitude, formerly trained in France by Fabrice Chappet, made her debut on American turf in the G1 Belmont Oaks.
Today in race 5 at french track Lyon races Muritz, trained in britain by John Quinn until august 2020. Muritz has won an handicap over 1 m at Bath 2 runs ago which has worked out well (3rd and 4th have won after that race). Muritz was not beaten far last time out over 7 furlongs on french debut for new trainer Tim Fitzgerald (keeping on). British imports are often sucesfull in low grade french handicaps. Today Muritz races over 1 m which seems to be the optimum trip and has a strong jockey up (Tony Piccone). At 14/1 worth an each way bet in my opinion.
In the first race at french track Compiegne today Nick Williams runs Agrapart with James Reveley up. On british NH form I would think Agrapart has a really good each way chance there.
Feeling Cash, another son of Ready Cash, took out the G1 Prix des Élites. Off 50m he lowered the 2000m race record in a driving finish. No11. Blue, blue and white striped cap. (One from the outside at the back.) https://www.letrot.com/fr/replay-courses/2020-09-27/7500/6
Tom George runs 3 horses today at french track Compiegne in the 2nd,3rd and 5th race with James Reveley and Felix De Giles booked. Maybe interesting to know for you.
Good performance indeed. Got to be a real horseman to ride Monté, even though it can look a bit funny to thoroughbred horseracing enthusiasts?
His Excellency Nasser Lootah of Dubai today produced an outstanding prospect at Randwick. His stud, Emirates Park has had a 2 year old filly trialling brilliantly in Sydney of late. Her name, Enthaar. She stopped the clock in an amazing 56 seconds flat, while being eased near the line in the G3 Gimcrack Stakes. No 4. Green, white cap.
Two of the favoured runners for The Everest, Nature Strip and Classique Legend, today had their final lead up to the big race in the 1200m G2 Premier Stakes.
Jamie Kah, the 24 year old lady from Adelaide who now resides in Melbourne, rode a cracker of a race in taking out today's G1 Toorak on the top weight Mr Quickie. White and blue. Stall 2. Three back along the fence.
Bugsy Malone makes it win 31 in taking out the G2 Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest at Agen. He took the lead soon after the start and ended the race with a new track record to his name. https://www.letrot.com/fr/replay-courses/2020-10-11/4701/7
The G1 Kranji Mile winner Aramaayo, yesterday scored his second G1 win in taking out the Raffles Cup in Singapore. No 4 from the 7 gate. Red. Last early.
Pinatubo, the son of the late Shamardal has been retired to stud by Godolphin. He'll stand at Dalham Hall Stud in Suffolk. The Champion 2 year old went unbeaten in 6 races as a baby, earning a rating of 128, the highest juvenile figure since Celtic Swing in 1994.
They went like scalded cats. The 81 year old veteran trainer Les Bridge has been telling all and sundry that The Everest was going to be a one act affair. How right he was. It was one hell of a race.
