That's a shame but he has done his job almost perfectly today, let's hope that he gets confidence from it as we need consistant runs from the openers.
300 is realistically our minimum aim from here - but ideally more like 330 or 350. Batting 4th might not be easy, so a minimum 50 run lead may well be required. Scoring 90 runs in 40 overs doesn't require any sort of high run rate. But 120 to 150 requires a slight wriggle on.
Rather horrendous hacking from Holland throughout that over. Thankfully he survived, but more evidence that he's not a no.6 (or no.7 here).
The Hants freak injury curse strikes again and one of our main men too. Hope Daws is ok but it looks quite serious.
Somerset and Essex looking good so far. Would be ironic for Somerset to win their first Championship in this format, but hey, Somerset all the way. Meanwhile at Radlett there seems to be a positive snooze fest in progress.
I'm not entirely sure what that innings was from Came. Totally nothing innings. We'll do well now just to get that 50 run lead.
Daws must be one of the unluckiest Cricketers around, gets regularly pissed about by England and when he finally plays he suffers a freak injury.
