Yeah nice job, not sure about the embossed look though mate, not that you’re likely to have had a say in that given your previous comments
Had no choice really, the ceiling was pretty much ****ed so had a few joints to paper over. Would have prefered to have it boarded and skimmed but the bloke who plastered the walls said there'd be a bit of a wait. So I did it! I'm not really a fan but it looks ok as it goes. She WhatsApp me a picture of her blistered finger after painting the ceiling. I pointed out it's hard work what I make to look so easy, eh? I hope I finally get some ****ing credit for the shifts I put in.
Today I will be mostly sanding down this lot and sorting skirt board's. Lovely and sunny outside too for **** sake.
Will look nice when that's all stripped back. What are you going to do, wax or varnish them ? Whatever you do, make sure you do at least two layers and don't forget to fill up.
Wax oil. She actually thinks we'll be back in the room tomorrow. She's mental, no idea how long or how much work these things take.
Those boards look in surprisingly good condition. You must have Plumbers and sparks who take a bit of pride in their work.
Looks ok this I reckon. Didn't get round to doing the skirts, will have to be tomorrow. ****ing goosed.
Was literally on fumes with the hard wax oil finishing off. Had an old 2.5l tin with some left so I'd ordered a small tin from Amazon as I knew it wouldn't be enough. Box from Amazon has been sat in the hall since it was delivered but I didn't open it till I needed it. Was the size of a tin of fecking beans, rattling about in good size box. Ran out with two full boards left so had to fish the old stuff back out the bin and use up the dregs. Just about finished. Looks great though.
