I've read the unabridged edition of Lord of the Rings, it don't make me a ****ing Wizard so let's not get all pissy about this.
The current rules state that you have to either offer mechanical protection or bury the cables 50mm below the surface. Most sparks go for the easy option which is plastic capping allowing you, I think, a depth of 5mm below the surface and protected by a RCBO (Earth leakage and short circuit protection) In the consumer unit.
It wasn't being pissy mate I was genuinely interested in what edition he passed in. Mine was the 16th but that was donkeys years ago.
Ginge the Thai jungle baker trying to tell an actual sparky how to do sparky ****. Chief produces some absolute abortion of an effort, as opposed to just paying an actual sparky a few quid. **** me
Yes I should offering advice to both you and Chief. Based on what you’ve both said and shown, the only advice I can offer is purchase as many smoke detectors you can afford!!!!
No idea what you're all talking about! I managed to get four in but I'm just not happy with it. Its bollocks, my Mrs just looks at me with a simpleton expresion twirling her hair when I try to explain I'm not a ****ing electriacian and I can't do this ****. It's all working but I need to look at it again tomorrow. Had the kids wailing becaue the power was off and their phones were out of battery? Really,? Tough ****, I could kill myself here for **** sake. I've achieved nothing today.
I'm actually well happy with mine now although it took me a while to get there. Anyway I'm moving out tomorrow so not my problem, just saved me a few quid. #winner
