“Three months out, not touched a ball & the magic is still there. Time to focus on building fitness & getting in the best shape I can be in,” - Marcus Maddison. Doesn't sound like he's going anywhere.
https://the72.co.uk/170529/birmingh...-mad-to-turn-down-hull-city-loanee-barry-fry/ I know it is only Barry Fry, but Maddison needs to put himself in the shop window.
Don't like the sound of "not touched a ball in 3 months" couldn't he play slam? and I bet his living room his big enough to practice in.
Isnt that exactly what he should have been doing these past 3 months. You know, while he was still getting paid how ever many thousand a week still. He should have kept in great shape and just now be needing to sharpen up match fitness. Lazy or stupid or both?
All of the players had individual fitness training to do during lock-down, unless their girlfriends/wives happen to be exceptionally good at football, they didn't actually have anyone to play against.
Barnsley will let Hull City retain Mallik Wilks for the rest of the Championship season as the two Yorkshire rivals prepare to resume their battle for survival. Wilks joined the Tigers in January on a loan until the end of the campaign, making an attacking impact under Grant McCann with three goals in nine appearances. The agreement in place with the Tykes is due to expire at the end of this month to cast some doubt over his involvement in the heavily delayed season but City are confident a new short-term deal will be struck to ensure Wilks can play in their remaining nine games. The 21-year-old has trained with the Tigers all week and is part of the group that has resumed full contact work at the club’s Cottingham base ahead of the season’s proposed restart on June 20.
Hull City can confirm that Matthew Pennington has had his loan spell at the Club extended until the end of the 2019/20 season.
Hull City can confirm that Herbie Kane’s loan spell from Liverpool has been extended until the conclusion of the 2019/20 campaign.
Jon Toral, @KevStewart93 & @Angus_Mac15 have each agreed short-term extensions to their contracts that will enable them to complete the remainder of the 2019/20 season with the Club.
I am pleased to see we have given the players an extra 1 month contract, Toral needs to play to show he is fit and will put himself in the shop window, likewise for Kev Stewart who has had a decent season form wise, Angus just needs to be back kicking a ball again but he will be 4/5 choice at centre half, so will be on the bench. Hopefully we can get Batty and Lichaj signed up soon.
If the last couple of years are anything to go by, it's our 5th and 6th choice centre backs that play the most games.
