It's totally wrong that they'll be using testing kits twice a week for all of the players and staff when there isn't enough for people showing symptoms in the general public, in addition having to take key medical staff from the front lines.
I think most people are utterly sick to the back teeth of greedy money grabbing bastards that are running football. These people seem prepared to put players/officials/club administrators/emergency services health at risk to complete their TV obligations. FIFA say players can extend short term contracts for those out of contract, "Here you go son, just sign here to risk your health and future career to help us out for few more weeks." Like you would wouldn't you? FIFAs top medic says the season should be null and void. Belgium, France and Holland have done just that. Do this lot take any notice, not a bit of it. The whole situation is completely farcical and scary that these ****s think they can ride roughshod over all the advice they're given and surely what their own common sense must tell them. Playing a spectator sport with no spectators, players wearing masks, no holding, spitting or gouging, playing at neutral venues, really? I can't even imagine there's any kind of public appetite to finish the season, even Liverpool must know deep down that the title has now been severley compromised. Null and void the season, schedule extra games for TV next season. UEFA needn't worry either, nobodys going to be flying anywhere for the forseeable so they needn't worry about Europa and Champions and also rans cups for a couple of years.
Exactly, next season isn’t starting in August anyway, why rush this season to void or finish it, when next season probably won’t happen anyway. They have an entire year to fit in about 10 games before the 21/22 season is even thought about. Surely there’ll be some sort of normality within the next year!
That would probably mean losing money for an entire season (20/21), as opposed to a part season (19/20), depends on the TV contract really. I also don't think Lgs 2 & 1 will survive without some play in 20/21. (Not that the Premier League will give a **** about that)
A reasonable plan. Extend the contracts of players, and wait until a vaccine is found. A vaccine is the only way back to normality for me on a personal level.
Anyone who thinks 20/21 Season will happen is not thinking clearly! This whole thing isn’t going away before August whatever anyone thinks, pubs, restaurants & general entertainment places won’t be back in business until autumn at the earliest from what I’ve heard! This whole thing about getting next season sorted is nothing short of ridiculous! There’s far too many legal things that would come up for them to even begin to consider an Unstarted season over one needing 10 games or so to be played! Other European countries who’ve already called it will also find legal action against them, before too long. As I said in my original post, next season won’t happen, so that means a whole year to try & fit 10 or so games in! That’s why this season should be finished!
Premier League: More clubs open to using neutral venues if relegation removed. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52517532
Watching England vs Argies 2002. England winning 1-0. Owen just missed a decent chance. England look comfortable. Trevor Sinclair is having a stormer. The argie coach is a bloke called Bielsa. He'll manage that lot from bellend road one day.
Start again in late August this year, finish the season in December. Have 6 weeks break then a 4 month football festival with friendlies, fa cup and champions league tournament. June/July 2021 is Euro 2021. Start 2021/2022 in August as normal
Gordon Taylor suggesting shorter halves now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52542756 I suggest this, with a perspex screen across the middle of course.
Rick Parry now suggesting EFL would sue the PL if relegation from PL was prevented. This could get very dirty. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52543735
