Good luck on the bike mate. At least the good weather is finally here, though it's cold enough in the mornings. And you'll pretty much have the roads to yourself I'd imagine.
The Sunday Mirror has printed a shortened version of a “weekly diary” of a junior doctor, today. Harrowing. CPR is being delayed because they are having to find the correct PPE, which they are having to SHARE! This is dreadful, especially as the first P, in PPE, stands for PERSONAL. And the sharing of PPE must surely lead to the spreading of the virus, as will the lack of it, as the virus might/will attach itself to clothing that isn’t shielded from contamination. We had the month of February to stockpile, in preparation for this, but we didn’t. That is shameful. It also seems that many deaths are due to the heart just giving up, not being able to cope with the effects of the virus.
Some experts have said you can still carry the virus for up to 14 days and one believes up to 24 days and I have only been off work for 10 days...so who knows?
A new word. Covidiot. According to Urban Dictionary the definition of Covidiot is: Someone who ignores the warnings regarding public health or safety. A person who hoards goods, denying them from their neighbours.
True , but I’m trying to be positive ( in my outlook not for the virus ) . So make the most of it , I could be like Marvin the paranoid Android if you prefer ?
No mate,I am sure the wife and I will be fine considering we are sticking to the government guidelines. But I bet it’s in the back of everyone’s mind as a what if?
Yes . Certainly at the back of our minds . My god daughter ( 26) is working crazy hours at Southampton General , and her boyfriend is working at Salisbury Hospital in the ICU ward , worried for both of them .
Just let them know it's not just about a one off clap, great though it was, all rightminded people are so thankfull to them as every strange day passes. ICU will be a bugger over the next few weeks. Both workload and virusload are likely to be high. Bore them both with stressing not to take chances if PPE is not up to scratch. If they get ill idiots like me might be let loose, which is the stuff of nightmares trust me.
