Just been told that we in the service will be imminently tested for COVID-19......can’t say I’m that fussed for myself but think it will set the Mrs mind at rest if I’ve had it already.

A lot of clapping and cheering going on in Finsbury Park
We just took part. Quite moving really, I was surprised how many people in our street were joining in.

To echo what you’ve all said already, I was amazed that my whole street came out and clapped.....and yeah it really did get me emotional and very proud of what I do.
I’m not used to this ‘hero’ stuff being put about, I’ve been a horrible bastard for much of my life, but I’m now doing a job I love and a job I feel is really making a difference.....I’m honoured, touched and like many of my colleagues, I’m really feeling the love from everyone.

And now all this ‘being nice’ stuff.....

Even in my road of only five houses, where one of them has terminal cancer and can't go out, there were 3 of us outside clapping and cheering!

We're watching Contagion on ITV tonight. Holy ****, it's freaky. Filmed in 2011, they are talking about the virus originating in China, a cross between eating bats and pigs, respiratory issues, social distancing, touching surfaces and then your face, all the **** we're being told about COVID.
We did the applause. Someone set a firework off at 8pm and then virtually everyone came out. It was very moving until I shouted out that it was more clapping than I usually hear at QPR.
We also watched that tonight and it was weird listening to the news guy character, as it sounded like what I heard for real today!
