It has become a staple read for me and is good for the soul :)

If you are still worried about relegation....take a look over there. Bear in mind they just got a draw with Chelsea and thought that there was no way Liverpool would lose to Watford...especially by 3 goals to put them in the bottom three.

It will cheer up even the most pessimistic of you :)

Didn't realise they played Liverpool next. Unlucky...

Yep one post is moaning the a point against Chelsea would be good normally, but they were leading and if they had held on then they would have had a free hit next week, with no-one able to put them in the bottom three. That was before Watford v Liverpool. Whoops <laugh>

They are also targeting 37 for survival....But we are doomed. we are doomed on 34 already...

I try not to get too up or down based on a single result. We are a decent side with a good manager and an encouraging points tally. Winning the odd game here and there will be enough for us....and we will do that. I predict a comfortable coast to the end of the season with some entertaining games on the way and an enjoyable summer where we are linked to every player under the sun. :)

Well that was disappointing but we usually lose against West Ham so no big surprise. Our performance was poor and we didn't even look like getting anything. We really don't do very well with the ball when we have a lot of possession and yesterday was just another example of that. Oh well, move on and put this down as a bad day.

Hojbjerg and Boufal were hopeless. Apart from JWP, Armstrong and Smallbone, we really were average at best and poor for the most part. The team selection was questionable and we tried to close the door after we had shipped 3 goals. Not sure what that was about but my view is that the team and manager had an off day.

On a positive note and looking at the remaining matches, we could probably deliver another 15 points if we go for it and that would have to be looked at as a successful season. My guess is we will probably end up with another 10 points leaving us well clear of the drop but a hit and miss season. If we can strengthen the squad during the summer with a few quality players, we should achieve mid table with ease and with a manager who is on a new contract and building for the future.

Feeling disappointed today but not disheartened, because of where we were and where we are now. We are a good team and can play very well, and at least the football is good to watch, win or loose. Happy days, and onwards and upwards.

Edited (lose for loose) for those who are annoyed by a typo.

For the record, and sorry if I’m being pedantic, but Ralph didn’t bring Vestergaard on to “try to shut the door”. He did it to allow the two fullbacks to play further up the pitch.

You are correct we are usually loose against West Ham.<laugh>

Just as I suspected. Injuries & a too lean squad. Back as we were. I think we’ve got an agreement with GSB to just roll over & gift them as many points each season as they want. So ****ing miffed.

Conspiracy theory alert*******

Maybe the Premier League don't want a big stadium, such as the ex-Olympic Park (The London Stadium, now, or similar) to be in the football league, so they 'suggest' to some teams, like Saints, that they should help to keep WHU in the premier league.

It's probably complete b******s, but the moon landings never happened, either.

Hey, it's Sunday morning, and I'm bored.

The Falklands War was all staged on the Brecon Beacons too btw. An ex-para told me that, though was also a paranoid schizophrenic.

Yeah, he's probably still out there somewhere fighting a lone war to recapture Port Stanley, or in his case Abergavenny.

With regards to West Ham and conspiracy theories (which I'm always open to) I always think they've had favourable treatment. The Tevis and Mascherano affair and being gifted the stadium is obviously because of Trevor Brooking's involvement at the FA. I know it's all bollox but partly believable which always makes for a good conspiracy story.
