Deserved a point out of that but if you give away stupid penalties you just make life harder, you just can't bundle players over in the box.
Bad day for us. We deserved a point but silly penalty given away and it all went wrong after that. Eaves going off injured did not help. Couple of late chances but never really looked like scoring again. Chasing pack getting closer and we could do with a bit of luck.
I think the rule should be no substitutes after 90 minutes, injuries or not (except goal keepers) and they would have to be injured. Just wastes time and no one can perform in a three minute cameo appearance.
Soooooo .. Barnsley on Wednesday now becomes a huge game ... an improved performance today ? Despite the defeat (seems a lot suggesting we deserved something from the game). Few more players coming back into contention .. we win that game and I suspect we will be fine .. we lose that game and do the knees knock from the Allams and look for another manager ? For me the jury is out on McCann .. he has had a lot to contend with in context of trying to build a team from what he has assembled in particular with the injury list .. but leaving subs til the 96th minute again stinks of indecision and naivety. Only twt.
A great day for Duffen and the new manager. Another price drop after that result. Before long the owners will be giving the club away for free.
It don’t really matter what we think of Terry and his tactics. The only thing that matters are the results. His results since Christmas have been crap and relegation form. Thank God we accrued few decent points before this year started or we would be in deep ****. His position must be under threat now. The Barnsley game is now a critical result in more ways than one.
I think the injuries have been terribly unfortunate. This isn’t like Slutsky or even Adkins, who had a full deck at their disposal. McCann deserves a proper chance to go at the Championship with a fully fit squad. He had that before Xmas and we were in touching distance of the playoffs. You can’t blame him for what’s happened.
I’m just saying that football remains a results based game. He has had an injury crisis no doubt but we are down in the bottom of the form table and need three wins to be safe. Quite honestly I am not sure he is the man to deliver those wins. I hope I am wrong.
Who was the knobhead who called Carpet at h/t and said the plays-offs were on?....Silly c*nt. When the manager starts to blame the officials for the defeat, then you know they're up **** creek.
Sounded a wee bit harsh today but it’s another defeat . Given that our league position is fast becoming a concern for more each week at least McCann and the squad still have it in there own hands to sort out. Hold on tight...
It is results based, but half the team have been missing, most of them players he has signed. You get results when you play your best team. It’s when you play your best team and you go on a run like this that you question the manager.
So with 12 players injured and our two best sold, did you honestly expect us to be barrelling up the leagues?
You deserved to be ahead at half time, after the header off the line you stopped, losing Eaves was a blow for you causwed us some problems, also our two subs changed the way we played, not seen the penalty be surprise if it's not soft as it was Darnell, but didn't play well get three points. Good luck for the rest of the season
From what I hear, he isn't! Plus, I think his daughter would have something to say if he sold Hull FC as she loves it. Think we have the Allams for at least another 2-3 years. Buy cheap players, sell at a profit = new cars for Ehab
No but its still his tactics and subs and mainly his squad. How many starters were unavailable today? 3? Excuse my ignorance..but honeyman et al would start anyway.
