Nothing to do with the weather, just found it while searching for others and thought it was good enough to put it here.
The only thing this record has to do with the weather is the title. A truly brilliant song by Bob Dylan about the unjust imprisonment of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter ......
That's a shame Chilcs cos I quite like it. I only put this version up because Bob can't sing. I've always thought Roxy Music and BF were innovative and always worth listening to but I get your point particularly if Dylan was a hero of yours
Dylan goes elecric! Someone should have taken him to task for that . http://www.mtv.com/news/512709/fan-who-called-dylan-judas-breaks-33-years-of-silence/
I was put on to this composer by a friend. Amazing to hear someone so young writing music like this. Never heard of Caroline Shaw before. For anyone sceptical about contemporary classical composition, I thins this will be a revelation:-
Hmmm ..... I’m sure it’s very technically challenging, but I can’t say I’m a fan. It’s too atonal for me and time signatures seem all over the place. However, I’ll persevere and listen to it all the way through, plus listen to some more of her compositions. I will never say that I won’t give new music a go, but, like John McLaughlin, I can appreciate amazing skill without actually liking the music. It’s good to hear “new” music of all genres (though I struggle with rap and grime I confess) so I’d never put anyone down and will listen
