afternoon, fellas! here are my first two selections, both from Ascot: 1 15: this Looks very much a match between MASTER DEBONAIR and Sporting John.with the latter,no one knows, where the ceiling of his ability lies, but he can go Right to the top, but,at least today,i feel, that the tizzard horse has more substance to his form,as hes already met very useful rivals this Season, and is equally improving.probably not much between them on ability, but a very narrow nod for the former today. 1 50: an exciting race in prospect, with no less than 4 last time out winners on Show, all of These progressing at a rate of knots, but i think,SAM BROWN might have the Edge today.according to his Trainer, this step up in trip will unlock even more improvement,as well as the Ground.so,he can take another step up the ladder here.
haydock,2 05: RENDLESHAM HURDLE hard to go against the Worlds end here,as hes got strong Claims on his latest form, but i think,EMITOM is far less exposed, even though one would have liked to have seen a better showing on his Comeback a few weeks ago.but he may have had excuses then, and if showing his true Colours today, should be bang there.
Tam may be nervous - Burnley 2-1 up 65 minutes to go Come on World's End, don't do a Sam Brown/Pym lol
Going to supplement Cilaos Emery for the champion hurdle? Interesting. As it is apparently so wide open, it makes sense when he would likely be 2nd string in one of the other chases against a fellow stablemate.
yes,a strong staying Performance! haydock,2 40: VICTOR LUDORUM HURDLE the French horse is hard to assess here, but apart form him, there might be lot a lot between the rest of These,in Terms of ability, and i think,GEROLAMO CARDANO ran a fine race in a useful contest at cheltenham last time out,and if he can step up a notch or two here, wont be far away.. gowran park,2 50: RED MILLS TRIAL well,TOUT ET PERMIS has a bit to find with the top two here on current form, but i quite like him,and he might be more at home back over fences.so,not entirely dismissed..
Well he met his waterloo at Haydock. Not a going day for me either The Con Man will prove his monicker is no accident next at Ascot lol
Just finishing the 4th and last book in the series by Simon Scarrow on Wellington and Bonaparte reebs - a fantastic read
How fecking spooky is that? Me too ….. Fields Of Death …. I'm on chapter 47 I read volume one about 9 years ago, so it's taken me some time lol
I'm nearly done - re-reading the entire series over the last couple of months. Really enjoy the way he writes. Have you read his Roman series? Equally interesting
I have the complete series so far - if you are ever over here you are welcome to take them off my hands
