I'll be cheering him whatever, he was brilliant for us before his injury and i'll understand if he celebrates scoring for his hometown club if it happens. Hope it's only the "one goal"....
Woah, steady on. I’m all for giving him a decent welcome, but let’s not overdo it. Don’t want him thinking it’s okay to score against us, thank you very much.
It's about time that we turned Burnley over and Ralph must surely have learnt something from the first game of the season, i'm going for a narrow win for us in tricky conditions and Danny will score of course!.
How have we had the misfortune to end up playing Burnley TWICE in their perfect conditions this season?
Made the decision. Not going. Total wuss I know, but at least it means you lot get to hear me on here for the foreseeable as I won't be in a ditch.
You know when you are old when your 30th seems like yesterday and this year will be the 21st anniversary of it! Happy birthday @sotonsaint !!! Three points in the bag!
Matchday! I have already had a phone call from my dad and one from my mate saying that I am a wuss and we should go as "It's a bit windy but that is about it" My answer was "Have you ever heard the expression the calm before the storm" Anyway, 3-1 Saints today - weather suits Burnley, but we are the new Saints now, we fear no-one and can adapt to anything.
Ashley Barnes is not playing thank goodness......he has scored 4 goals on his last 3 starts against us.
I always have fond memories of going to Turf Moor with my Dad when Saints were in the Championship. On the way back we got into conversation with some more senior Burnley fans and were chatting about football. My Dad was oblivious to what was going on around us at the same time and made a comment as to how friendly the home fans were - totally unaware that one of their fans barged against me with his shoulder as he approached from the opposite direction and all the fans in the cars driving past were giving the Saints fans the bird! I think Saints won that day (we had Pele playing for us) but I remember the supporters being asked to kick green footballs resembling peas through a hoarding made to resemble a pie. The home fans seemed to enjoy it.
