Any other team and I'd be happy to have James and his giant gash back, but Burnley, not so much. Ben Mee & co worry the hell out of me. Some of their tackling goes beyond robust. Mee's follow through on Villa's forward last month was out of control, and it finished his season. Were I a saints player this w/end, I'd be passing that ball as fast as possible! Get rid!
Ref the weather, I'm supposed to be going for a walk along the white cliffs of dover on Saturday morning. Might have to change my plans.
Yep we have 2 dirty bastards in the top 10. I couldn't be more proud. All joking aside, I think James has found a role for himself this season. I've never been too sure about him being an out and out attacking mid and he's too light for a defensive mid but he looks (to me at least) to be somewhere in between. Pressing high, winning the ball and offloading quick seems to be his job and he's doing it well. I love the high press.
I think the weather could help us so long as Jack doesn't try his long passes into the channel. In the wind, we would be well advised to play on the ground - and that will suit the likes of Redmond and Djenepo. Don't think Burnley will adapt so well.
Also good when he doesn't get penalised https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/total_tacklehttps://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/total_tackle
Surely swirling wind and rain will be right up Burnley’s street? Tomorrow at St Mary’s will be like a summer’s day on Turf Moor.
It certainly didn't help us in the reverse fixture up there. Really not sure about your last sentence?!
Jay Rod has done an article in the Burnley express in the build up to our game. And its one of the most glowing reports I've ever read from a player that has left us. We should be very proud of how we intergrate new players into the group. And also look after them both physically & mentally when injuries like the ACL hit. It sounds like we saved his career, and his sanity. Lets nab the points so we can clap him off. Good lad.
