I would like to add that I am pleased with the additions and really hope they can live up to expectations particulary Jean-Kev.

However, I'm not one for getting carried away and will reserve judgement once they have played a few games. I just hope Marcelo gets them involved sooner rather than later and for a decent amount of time.

if you’re not at the last game wearing a shirt with “Big Kev 29” on the back I’ll be very disappointed. <laugh>
When we've won the league...he'll probably moan they gave him too many chips with his pie and the gravy was too thick :emoticon-0138-think

Very impressed just what we needed two more dwarves. Has the back up centre back arrived yet?.
Joking aside if poveda can play at ten then it will be a much needed option.

You’re right though Wakey, Augustin is 1.77m according to Transfermarkt, that’s five foot nine and a half in old money.

Wonder why they call him Big Kev? <yikes><yikes>

From the YEP - Augustin

United went to extreme lengths to keep it under wraps, too.

Augustin decided that he wanted to cut short his loan stint at Monaco and head to England to play for Bielsa, so was flown to Leeds on a private jet late on Sunday night, landing on the Multiflight private runway at the back of the Leeds Bradford airport. He was driven to the Doubletree by Hilton, whisked through a side door and when he got up on Monday morning, walked into an adjoining room the club had booked out, cleared out and transformed into a mobile medical facility.

Leeds head of medicine and performance Rob Price gave the 22-year-old his medical and then it was off to Elland Road to sign on the dotted line and pose for pictures, white shirt on, fist on heart.

Augustin has been admired by Bielsa for some time and tracked by director of football Victor Orta, who is said to have a good relationship with the player’s agent, Meïssa N’Diaye, head of Paris-based Sport Cover.

Reminds me of the last time I had a name on my shirt way, way back.

Number 2, & 'Belly'. Surprising the number of double-takes, pats on the back & congrats I got.

My next shirt was going to be 23, 'Fatty', but was too tight to part with the extra cash.

Ah right on cue...

What's with the porno cartoons ?

Thought stuff like that was banned.

Contracts do not end in May. Never have done for years.
It was a joke wakey hence the exclamation mark. Obviously not a funny one as you’re the third person to pick me up on it.

If you’re going to loan someone for 6 months you do get more bang for your buck on jan 1 than you do end of window.

Could have gone for no number and just Jok.

it wasn’t that under wraps was it... he was liking tweets about Leeds last week

Not sure what to make of the signings. On paper JKA looks like he could be a cut above our usual loan and the Bundesliga is a physical league so he should be okay for the championship. Poveda is hard to judge because U23 is so 'nicey-nicey' and so different to step up from specially in this division where the refs let a lot of the kicks go. Any signing is a gamble I guess but would have preferred a 'battle-hardened' signing to get us over the line.

So applying the same logic to the management/coaching we should have sacked Bielsa and appointed Big Sam ?

Poveda has been brought in to replace Clarke so whichever way you look at it that has to be an improvement.
