I did like this on Have Your Say for the Leicester Southampton match: 9. Pabs71 24 minutes ago “Brendan reminds me a lot of my missus. Always telling me I'm outstanding, we're building something here, my cooking is tremendous, let's look to the future. I told her to stop quoting management books she got from the library so she's just dumped me. I shouted 'tremendous' and 'outstanding' back and heading down the pub as we speak.”
Damage limitation for Villa now. 4-0 down at HT! Next week we can put pressure on everyone else with a result first up.
Coventry facing Birmingham at home.. at St Andrews! Be a strange feeling for the Blues players and fans..
Derby in trouble over their financial affairs. Their ground had a book value of £40M on it, but sold it on for £80M to try and get round the financial rules. A number of clubs have tried this one on, but not to the same extent as Derby. Points deduction looks quite likely.
Rumours surfacing today suggesting that Man Utd are interested in signing Odean Ighalo from his Chinese club.
Man Utd will go all out for it on Sunday - it's their only chance of getting anything on Merseyside for a long time
Watching Chateauroux tonight, the ref made a bit of an idiot of himself. Issued a yellow card to a player, then fished in his pocket for the red. The player protested that it was mistaken identity as he hadn't already been booked. Ref looks towards the lino for help. Lino said you haven't got that one right young man, so ref puts his red card back in his pocket and tries to make it look that he has been in total command throughout.
I am sorry duggie. I cannot think that one of the richest clubs in the world can have fallen into such a state. Fans leaving uneaten smoked salmon sandwiches behind as they storm out twenty minutes before the end. Players getting slagged off without even playing, and the owners making sure that a once debt free club now pays for their bloated lifestyle. No wonder Bobby Charlton always looks worried.
