SPL (SPFL1), Friday 20/12/2019 : Hibernian 0-3 Rangers That was a very good performance from Rangers tonight, totally dominant and well worthy of the win. Three well taken goals by Kent, Aribo and in the 2nd half Defoe, sealed it. This good result has reduced the points gap to 2, goals scored to 0 and GD to just 1 in favour of the Opposition, who play again tomorrow. Attendance : 19,813 (SSN) SPL matches, 18 & 20-21/12/2019 : Wednesday 18th December Heart of Midlothian 0-2 Celtic - Celtic 5 points clear. SPL (SPFL1), Thursday 26/12/2019 : Rangers v Kilmarnock, KO 15:00 hours. 21/12/2019 : Rangers go into this match 5 points and by 2 on goals scored and GD behind Celtic, but with a game in hand. While we play Kilmarnock, will the Opposition sink in the 'Midden' ? ... Come on Jim, give us a present ! SPL matches, 26/12/2019 : Thursday 26th December Aberdeen 15:00 Livingston Hamilton Academical 15:00 St Johnstone Heart of Midlothian 12:30 Hibernian - SKY Rangers 15:00 Kilmarnock Ross County 15:00 Motherwell St Mirren 15:00 Celtic - BT Sport
SPL (SPFL1), Thursday 26/12/2019 : Rangers 1-0 Kilmarnock A narrow win for Rangers which in no way reflected the balance of play. Per the SSN Live Commentary the attempts (including goals) were 9-1 & 10-2 = 19-3 to Rangers. Unfortunately Jim Goodwin was unable to oblige today, resulting in the Opposition remaining 5 points and 2 by goals scored and GD ahead, but they have played a game more too. Closing those gaps is in our own hands now. Attendance : 49,885 (SSN) SPL matches, 26/12/2019 : Thursday 26th December Aberdeen 2-1 Livingston Hamilton Academical 0-1 St Johnstone Heart of Midlothian 0-2 Hibernian Rangers 1-0 Kilmarnock Ross County 1-2 Motherwell St Mirren 1-2 Celtic
SPL (SPFL1), Sunday 29/12/2019 : Celtic v Rangers, KO 12:30 hours - SKY. 26/12/2019 : To recap, the gaps are currently 5 by points and 2 by goals scored and GD in favour of Celtic atm. Rangers have a game in hand on Celtic. That game is the postponed Home fixture against St Johnstone, which will have to be scheduled after the 'mid-Winter' break and before the Split. SPL (SPFL1), Sunday 29/12/2019 : Celtic 1-2 Rangers I followed this match via Sportsound, the SSN Live Commentary and my Twitter feed. Job done and done well today, apart from Silly Billy Morelos getting himself sent off in the last minute. This well deserved victory has reduced the gap to 2 points and equalised the GD at +42 each, with the goals scored gap at 1 to the Opposition. Rangers' game in hand against St Johnstone will provide the opportunity to overtake Celtic, provided we match the Opposition's results after the 'mid-Winter' break. Scottish FA Cup R4, Friday 17/01/2020 : Rangers v Stranraer, KO 19:45 hours, Premier Sports. 13/01/2020 : Rangers at home to the team at the bottom of League 1 (level 3). The result should be a foregone conclusion, so let the job be done professionally, with all due respect shown to our opponents.
Scottish FA Cup R4, Friday 17/01/2020 : Rangers 2-0 Stranraer I followed this on Sportsound and my Twitter feed ... although I found the Stranraer feed more useful. A professional performance from Rangers against a team that (unsurprisingly) 'parked the bus', with a fortunate opener from a corner that should have been a goalkick. Defoe scored our second from the penalty spot. Attendance : 38,560 (SSN) - 450 from Stranraer. Arfield's opener : Defoe's penalty :

SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 22/01/2020 : Rangers 1-0 St Mirren A stodgy match apparently, but a win is a win, which was the minimum requirement. The gaps to the Opposition are now 3-2-1 being respectively, goals scored, points and GD. SPL (SPFL1), Sunday 26/01/2020 : Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Rangers I followed this game on Sportsound and my Twitter feed. SG's 100th game as Manager of Rangers annoyingly became a Ton-Down rather than a Ton-Up. This is a setback in the Title race, which is by no means over. However, the gaps to the Opposition are now 6-5-5 for goals scored, points and GD. Attendance : 18,539 (SSN) SPL matches, 25 & 26/01/2020 : Saturday 25th January Celtic 3-0 Ross County Hamilton Academical 2-4 Livingston Motherwell 0-0 Hibernian St Johnstone 2-1 Kilmarnock Sunday 26th January Heart of Midlothian 2-1 Rangers St Mirren 0-0 Aberdeen
SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 29/01/2020 : Rangers v Ross County, KO 19:45 hours. 26/01/2020 : Wednesday offers Rangers the chance to redeem, following the debacle at Tynecastle today. Goals scored and GD could become crucial, so if we start scoring freely against Ross County (as we did in the previous game against them), then keep going and do not ease off, which is what happened in that game. Expect no favours from the Opposition, who are also playing on Wednesday. SPL matches, 29/01/2020 : Wednesday 29th January Rangers 19:45 Ross County St Johnstone 19:45 Celtic
SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 29/01/2020 : Rangers 2-0 Ross County Job done. More goals would have been useful but points are the main thing. Jermaine Defoe went off injured, it might be a hamstring. Hopefully it is not too serious. The gaps to the Opposition are now 7-6-5 for goals scored, GD and points. Attendance : 47,583 (SSN) SPL matches, 29/01/2020 : Wednesday 29th January Rangers 2-0 Ross County St Johnstone 0-3 Celtic
