i said to another cafc fan today... back in the day, curbs would go 4-5-1 and grind out a point. then move on from there. he knew how to turn this sort of run around. i feel bowyer needs to talk to someone more experienced and try the same. you'd hope that with so many injuries, defensive drills are the ones they practise most. if you dont conceed, you cant lose!
Hasn’t that been part of the problem though ? Bowyer has consistently played 5 at the back, but when did we last keep a clean sheet? That formation also relies on full backs who can play wing back, bomb forward and put in good crosses ...hardly the strong point of Solly or Purrington.
that's what the drills would be for. back to basics mentality. some of our defending, passing etc has been shocking lately.
Barnsley home to Preston tomorrow night. We could easily go into the Fulham game only 1 point clear of the bottom 3, oh joy.
Good defensive display by them tonight. Barnsley v Preston a massive game for you tomorrow. As a bit of interest, I'm going to have a look at Corals specials (I have a £25 free bet to use by Weds.)
Woodrow and Bauer to both score 33/1 (£10 staked) Bauer to score, Barnsley to win and over 3.5 goals 80/1 (having £10 on that too) Smart boost Barnsley, Middlesboro and Peterborough all to win 12/1 (£25 free bet used).
@TC (Lovely Geezer) Millwall *somehow* stayed up last season with only 44 points. That makes our task look a bit easier.
Barnsley look as though they're making a fight of it, while Wigan and Luton don't look up to it, so we may be relying on Derby to get the points deduction.
True - so all you need.to do is win 5 from 18 - quite simple when you think about it. Just remembered, one of those games is against us - so it's 5 from 17
Problem is that the EFL have instructed Boris's/Government's Lawyer's.... aren't Birmingham up for more points off this year?
