It is a great article, though this wrong: "Since becoming the first player born this side of the millennium to represent the club when making a senior debut at Millwall last January, Lewis-Potter has fleshed out his reputation as a hometown favourite in the making." Max Sheaf got there first, when he played in the League Cup against Derby in August 2018.
If our Academy knocks out a Bowen or KLP every couple of years it will more than pay for itself. I've not even mentioned the likes of Brandon Fleming....
My lad played against him in the boys Sunday league (at about 11 or 12) - he was a really annoying twat (from the oppositions point of view) 'cos he just kept scoring, even if the rest of his team weren't at their best. I remember at the time wonderering why City acadamy hadn't got him signed up, and when they did I thought he would do well, even if his height was against him. Greavsy on the other hand was a very laid back, almost horizontal, player when he played for South Hunsley School, never really stood out in matches. I couldn't work out why City kept him on ... I was clearly wrong on that one.
120 goals in a season? Christ even at U10s-U12s that’s unbelievable. Some of our previous strikers couldn’t score that many if they had no goalkeeper to play against.
