a nice happy friendly thread.
Staying at home, off somewhere warm etc
Where you going, what you doing?
What are you hoping for, lynx Africa obviously.

Just hoping to see the people in the family I rarely see. That'll more than do for me. A bit sloppy I know, but there it is.

Oh and Lynx Africa obvs.

It was a toss-up whether I came back for Xmas or for my sons 50th in March, so I have decided to come back in March and stay in the warmth, as the weather back home looks bloody awful.

For the first time ever we're all having Xmas dinner at a local pub, afterwards it's back to ours for pressie opening and tea-time nibbles; three kids, ten grandchildren + three great grandchildren - it's a madhouse but I love it, we shouldn't have a favourite but, our youngest addition, the 'two foot ninja', seems to have this grumpy old man as her favourite playmate. I love Xmas!

Looking forward to Christmas this year. We have two kittens incoming today or tomorrow. We lost our cat last year he was 19. The kids have desperately wanted another, we delayed as it didn’t seem right getting one so soon after. They don’t know anything about it so they’ll be absolutely made up. My daughter loves animals. We’d have a zoo at home if she could <laugh>

My dad started a tradition about 15 years ago of writing a quiz , he spends months on it and takes it proper serious there is a picture round and everything ...his grandkids love it and used to talk about it all December and now they are older they all write out one too , its like bloody university challenge Xmas day . To be fair I always take the piss out of it and moan about it, but it’s become such a tradition I’ve realised I’ll really miss it when it’s gone one day , so I embrace it now, plus it helps that me and the wife are back to back defending champions <laugh>
