Shots fired by Andrew Neil aimed at Boris... As much as I really really really want Boris to face up to Andrew Neil to see how he handles it, as it would be a car crash for sure for Boris, I really do think the fascination from the BBC and other press outlets are being unfair with trying to bully Boris into doing this interview. Calling Boris a chicken and a coward for not doing it. He doesn't have to do it. There is no contract to do it. No other previous PM has done more interviews/debates as what Boris has done this election. He has already been on the BBC shows doing interviews and debates and will be on yet another BBC show tonight for another debate. Why are the BBC and the press outlets so determined to get Boris to do the Andrew Neil interview?? What will Boris say to Andrew Neil that will be different to what he has already said in the record number of interviews and debates that he as PM has already said, which will make any difference to how people will vote next week? Andrew Neil to me is a bully. He has bullied every party leader so far, asking questions, not letting them answer and just trying to embarrass them, instead of actually scrutinising them. Each leader interview with Andrew Neil has had car crash interviews - apart from Farage, who I think is the only one who handled Andrew Neil well and came out with any credibility. People just want Boris to do it so they can see another car crash and I would love to see it too. But trying to humiliate him, calling him out and trying to bully him to do it, I feel is not on. He's done more than any other PM and remember he is the PM, so while others leaders can go to every interview/debate, the PM has other responsibilities to do. He was the host for the NATO summit this week. He has had to deal with a terrorist attack on home soil. Among other things. All things that people seem to have forgotten.
that's why you replied with a whole list of …. in any case you didn't give an example it was a specific
Are you for real? I listed the stuff to show I hadn't destroyed my own argument. Im still waiting for the answer of how I apparently destroyed my own argument. And it was an example given about losing apples. I should know as I was the one who gave the example that the apples were lost on a bus! It was an example to show that the questioner missed out details in the middle of the question he raised about apples. I only said the apples were lost on the bus as an example that that if no actions were taken to secure those apples then they would be lost forever. I am not saying nurses are lost on a bus too and never have I said ALL nurses will be lost forever meaning none left in hospital Im talking about just the nurses who will leave between now and when action is taken to try and retain them. They are the ones who will be lost. And for the record, I don't mean lost on a bus or is now a missing person in society FFS Not sure why I am having to explain this again. It is pretty simplistic stuff. It was an example I thought of to try and link the stupid question raised about apples and the actual situation of trying to retain nurses. Oh my days
Andrew Neil is good interviewer, but he does have a louder microphone for himself and a lesser for his guests … this allows him to "talk over the guest which we hear but the guest doesn't!" Boris has done a lot of interviews ...another tonight … probably one next week. AN is really p****** off because he is one of the only presenters not to get a shot at Boris. To be honest AN aims at all the negative things, last night he met his match with NF …. AT NO TIME did he have him on the back foot redfaced or embarrassed at some points it was NF guiding AN! There is a case that JC is trolling up "fake news items ..like the NHS and today yet another paper that is not exactly the result of what is going to happen but the background of discussion by the tories of what might happen …. so therefore when the next phase comes along they will now the pit falls .. or what could be concerns …. These issues would not be allowed to be discussed by AN .. he s a character assassinator, likes to be the champion by putting people down, and although he is good at his job/purpose sometimes there is nothing to gained. His closing speech last night [ watched by our Friday coffee morning group ] was a completely different tone to any of his vitriolic "attacks" on any of guests … he was fuming, one of us said this am "I thought at one point he was going explode and chuck his notes in the air or smash his auto que " the other consensus this am was that the "untrustworthy tag " in Boris is in a majority of ways flawed. When JC and other minions keep on about leaving on and this and that he could not achieve it because "in some cases the response was a prompted vote against him" [ like get a deal ! but whilst getting it the ugly sisters /womble, or tele tubby as they call him north of the border, said we vote against irrespective ] we NEED TO look to the future and then decide after the efforts to achieve what he says has or hasn't taken place. there is more chance of Boris ACHIEVING te promises ideals they have set out than any other party …. heaven forbid we get a hung or labour gov … our lives will be misery in 5 years time.
I thought Nigel came out well on the Andrew Neil interview......it's a massive shame that he won't have a seat in parliament..he would ruffle a few feathers!! I think Boris & Nigel would make a great duo!
That’s all smoke and mirrors , if Boris thought it was in his interest to do the interview he’d be knocking the door down to do it. The so called reasons for not doing it is fluff, another example of our politicians not being honest. Bottom line is he thinks it would be detrimental to do it and not a chance he’s willing to take when he’s ahead in the poles. Boris is very good at making and writing speeches , but when asked about detail he’s pretty poor, if you thought Corbyns interview was a car crash , by comparison if Boris did one it would be a motorway pile up with both carriageways blocked for several miles .
Unless somehow the Lib Undems get in and cancel it then in 5 years time we’ll still be talking Brexit, as for all the other stuff the parties are falling over each other to out announce each other with there won’t be much parliamentary time to introduce most of it anyway.
an interesting head to head last evening and to be honest was quite informative and to be frank a better hour as opposed to half an hour with ANDREW NEIL. They covered a lot of important ground, where as I fear with AN it would been a battle trying to belittle the PM. JC really had his lines learned with a prompt sheet for each occasion, almost word for word on certain topics … especially the anti semetic one, AND CAME ARMED WITH HIS LATEST LEAK regarding the border which he dropped like a hot cake when pointed out he had spent 40 years supporting the IRA..... at times his replies were the closest he could get to the subject .. that's the trouble with a selection of premeditated responses … not being able to answer his stance on what sort of deal and being negative he blew it regarding BREXIT... one of his replies stating / implying his tendancy is to remain … Boris did react from him...not a sheet of paper .. especially the Q about false misinterpretation of the nhs doc … he was caught back footed but put it into humour about a situation similar to 3 hail Mary's and polishing the chamber floor. Both were being very restrained JC with his well rehearsed robotic answers and BJ being thoughtful in more tempered replies.
So it was all staged what a sick mother Very interesting. A good friend of mine is a senior nursing sister at Leeds Hospital - the boy shown on the floor by the media was in fact put there by his mother who then took photos on her mobile phone and uploaded it to media outlets before he climbed back onto his trolley. He was on a hospital trolley in the paediatric A&E having been seen within 20 minutes. I am a nurse myself and am so pissed off with fake news, yes the NHS is a mess mainly caused by people misusing it and lack of elderly care. Think of the nurses and Doctors who are doing their jobs instead of constantly slagging them off. another Momentum Propaganda story. Disgraceful
I hate Corbyn and his ilk with a venom but surely even him and his Marxist cronies would not sink this low as to use a sick child to gain power and influence votes, unless I see absolute proof,I'm sorry but I don't believe it.
So I have detailed explanation from paediatric nurses explaining why photo of child on the floor is “100% faked”. I will put in @Telegraph on Weds. Stage a photo. Cause outrage. Castigate people who doubt it for showing insufficient compassion. Jesus.
I actually heard a similar view of this before I saw it on the news this afternoon from a friend I go up north with, (phoned him regarding new year trip up north ) works in the hospital I wont say what their job is, not exactly the same as RR'S version but similar comment was made it " it might not hold water" it wasn't exactly as RR says … but clue is the bag of saline!
well the truth will come out one way or the other and WEDS will be a good day to bring it out ...less time to build an argument or "investigate the perpetrators if so required" could easily be, some fanatical anti Boris individual put them up for it "if indeed it was" newspaper backing labour needing more ammo worried they might win the local seat who knows... just have to await the outcome ...but no smoke without a little bit of fire!
I have just had a good look at the photo, and can see what is meant by the saline? …. if it is saline? but put it in my photo shop ultra and no part of that "bag seems to be connected to Jack? If it is saline a pipe would go into hand, or oxygen would be tubes up the nose (as I did! and likewise did bcrw? ) also there is a bed or trolley, a cupboard, usually found next to a hospital bed, certainly had one by my bed back in the summer, and a chair, and in bottom right is that the arm of the chair that quite often you find next to a bed, or in the ward for visitors? please log in to view this image I am not persuaded either way so await any development upon further investigations …..
Will be interesting to see what happens next. So far though, the hospital have made a statement clarifying it happened and health secretary Matt Hancock has apologised for it.
